Mologic's not for profit manufacturing arm GAD, has stated its mission goal to supply to low income countries, how are we going to compete in that market with a company that is giving them away for the price they make them for ?

Surely, Surely we must have an update on the following before or at the end of April.

i) Status of Commissioning work to get us to a theoretical capacity of 2M
ii) Status of Tech Transfer, Commercial Launch of the Visitect Antigen test.
iii) Submission or not or the Mologic/Visitect antigen for PHE testing and its status.
iv) Any actual manufacturing that has taken place to support their "Delivering 2M tests a week in April" statements.

Anyone who feels they are being left in the dark should actively communicate that to the company, for what it will be worth !

No, but when they wanted a good price for a crony selloff, they were quite happy to put news out on twitter that they would deliver 2M test a week, when it was clear they had no chance of doing so, now people are seeing that for just what it was a blatant ramp of the SP and nothing more.

Realistically who will buy a test that has failed approval? (and we don't know it has!), When the market is full of others that have met the mark?, Omega's sales teams aren't the most dynamic at the best of times, but i couldn't blame them for struggling with that

@Okehurst1: Not really concerned with the DHSC contract, that will be what it is, when it is., Mologic, Avacta, Surescreen who cares.

The concern is the visitect antigen test, that could now be a white elephant, as the Visitect antibody test has proven to be.

If the DHSC contract takes 6 months to get up and running on, we should just be turning out Visitect, but are we going to be able to actually commercialise that without the PHE approval, One thing if they haven't submitted the test for approval, a complete different story if it failed.

@Dsaf: You really are a muppet, who the hell is going to buy a test that has failed government approval when there are at least 30 other manufacturers available to choose from that have the seal of approval?

If, and its only an if, Omega have spent 20+ weeks tech transferring a test that they cant sell in their own backyard, who else is to blame?

Surely if the Mologic test had failed the PHE validation then even Colin wouldn't be able to keep that under wraps.

Walbrook have previously said that Omega were not engaged in the submission process, perhaps Mologic/ GAD haven't bothered as they don't see the UK as their market, if so that would surely be a major screw-up from ODX?

I can say it wasn't me, news of no Mologic approval and possible manufacturing a chinese test, certainly nothing to like on that !

@Vascular: on 15th march i tried to tie Walbrook down on whether ODX were actually producing anything or simply ramping capacity in expectation of demand, they were as expected uncommital

“I’ve confirmed that the Company expects to have capacity in place by the end of April to produce approximately 2 million tests per week – and it is clearly the Company’s intention to utilise that under the UK Government contract and demand for other lateral flow. I’m sure an update on actual production levels will be provided as the Company moves closer to that target date.”
