Madagascar energy balance shows that 80% of its overall energy consumption is based on biomass (mainly firewood 68% charcoal 10% and other biomass 2% 17% on transport fuel 2% on electricity (hydro power and diesel plants) and GET THIS 1% on coal....? only 20% of the total population of circa 27M having access to this...

Madagascar owns oil fields of shore that have not been exploited yet.... a very good read if anyone is interested it also whiles away a bit of time as we await the long awaited rampant rise in BMN....
