Thepatman, with all that money in the kitty, it’s only a question of time before they will do share buyback, if no a big acquisition is in the offing. Maybe they are waiting for that £12million. I think you may wrong there. On the contrary at the start of Covid nyct would update the market even it really didn’t have too, both rns and on tweeter. I recall one of the first rns was to say “we are getting order enquiries….. one of which is 200,000+ tests” or words to effect. Plus they would even tweet at the weekend eg on the PCR device getting CE approval. I first got in at 36p then added at 55p. When it was around £1 I predicted it’d get to £10 within 9 months, it got to £12.50 within 6 months. I suspect orders this time will come fast and several as governments don’t want to get caught unprepared like with covid. The U.K. gov has already stated they are now preparing inc with testing. So I would expect an rns by this end of next week if only to say “we are talking with the gov as to how best to support the country” or words to that effect. I’m sure the gov is aware as NYCT is known around the world its tests will be sought by many countries, so they’d want to ensure the U.K. is well prepared and so will have started talk with nyct to make sure the U.K. get all the tests needed. I recall during the bird flu in 2012/3 (?), the U.K. spent £400 million on vaccines which weren’t needed in the end, which goes to show preparedness is of utmost importance over money for any government, not to mention the £billions that would be lost as we’ve seen with covid. Since Mpox is more fatal for kids, government will do their utmost as kids are the future worker given the aging populations around the world, not to mention parents panics who will pressure their government.
