Profit starts over 3 years away from 10 milion units up and running with ongoing license fees etc. Unless one of the inside informed here can say otherwise, CC are a country mile off 100,000 as it stands. Long way to get to 10 million and 3 years after that to break even. It's all in the business plan, until they change the model, again.

There were a number of interests around the Globe that wanted Connode, no names given so impossible to confirm. But, Cyan got in at bargain basement, with new tech required, and a mahusive UK contract bolted on. Nothing made sense then, news leaked and the deal became a typical shambles, and now after normal delays we are expected to assume it will take off through 2019 without issue. Let's see.

Have a think what the 'certain' income will be from UK rollout ( £25-£37 million ). Then equate that to what Cyan picked up Connode for, they did in effect give it away. If the revenue is guaranteed, Connode would have gone for an awful lot more than £6m. Given that there were several interested parties in taking Connode out suggests the price was about right. I have real doubts that a contract even exists, that won't surprise you. But with the typical lack of any clarity, it's not beyond CyConn to announce another game changing car crash, that will not be their fault you understand.

Ask your mates in the know, as long as they aren't ones that feed you the financial info on CC, that would just be awkward lol. Let us know what they say ?

Word is getting round that they do not allow a change of supplier, given that is what most of the country do, how is the uptake going to keep moving forward? It isnt a compulsary to have one, so why would you, or anyone?

Could very well be correct in their emailed advice. I'm getting no assurance from energy suppliers that a new smart install today would allow easy switching of supply. This was a basic requirement from the off, but it certainly doesn't look like anyone has cracked it.
