No deal is better than a bad deal and this share can rise multiples over the next 12 months. In fact it wouldn't take much at all to get it to double from here.

Can you expand on the 40p, who chose it and why do all the IB play along with it. Buying and selling to keep us floating here. Does nobody break out on their own 😅

I feel if you are correct about the 40p which is looks like then it would come from Sidara and their representatives. That way the announcement at 70p can say X% above the closing and X% above the 60 day vwap etc.

The longer and lower it stays the better the deal looks

I think the mention of Sidara Wood isn't necessarily a merger, but a full takeover.

Just the fact that Sidara are c. 20k people across their whole business and Wood are 35k, Wood is larger than the entity trying to acquire it.

So I wonder if they just call it Sidara Wood to let clients know it's still Wood and 'nothing has changed'

It's good business sense for Foreign companies to have ' Western' identifiable names too.

You don't want a 40 year established business to be swallowed whole and disappear into Nothing-Ness. The Wood name has value and it makes sense to keep it on.

I mentioned NEOM, Saudi World Cup and Aramco weeks ago and nobody really considered it a significant point at the time.

How it fits in the area that Sidara operate and the opportunities open to them. It's perfect.

Now my only concern is this..

That I make most of my money when 'certain accounts' are calling Teens at 22p and I'm loading the boat.

I get a bit worried when in one day 2 posters claim they've heard 130p to 145p and others bring up the multi billion opportunities of Sidara Wood.

I hope there is something behind it but we'll have to wait and see.

Considering a backdrop of terrible markets we've held up pretty well.

What's ahead who knows. Not greatly pleased with the short increase either. They get it more right than wrong.

If the offer is around 60p the conversation would be long over imo.

90p + imo deal is acceptable and anything over £1 we've done alright.

Over £1.30p would be exceptional

With the state of the markets as they are I don't think Sidara need to go out of their way to make an exceptional offer.

I do believe that regardless of a deal Wood is a good bet from here. The bad news is out in the open.
