The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Well it might be for us, it won't for you ;)
Definitely puts to bed the theory that the two boards had fallen out!
I think it's probably more to do with the fact that Lithium isn't a rare earth mineral! Tends to suggest that they are embarking on some marketing activity and they don't want to have to spend half of each phone call/meeting, explaining why they're called Rare Earth Minerals, when they're not discussing a rare earth mineral ;)
sp has livened up a bit after 13:30, hasn't it ;)
Looks like it's through the rather dramatic steel doors! https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5081699,-0.137554,3a,90y,263.67h,86.6t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sUpZtHuqH478AAAQW7J0J4Q!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en&authuser=0 Although it was boarded up last summer. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.508113,-0.1376514,3a,75y,17.8h,81.61t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sMgR0YqPJ5u_SVM1r-iVXUg!2e0!3e2!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en&authuser=0 Should imagine it's 'just' a serviced office kind of setup anyway.
Fair enough, I'll leave it alone from now on.
Actually, I disagree - if left unchallenged, I think it gives the impression its posts have some validity. To be honest, everything it says is so easy to show up as false or invalid, that it hardly takes any effort and often gives a good opportunity to highlight the investment case here. If others feel I'm wrong, I'll quite happily stop responding to it - just wish LSE would fix filtering in the myTerminal view, then I really could filter it completely!
So it's OK for you to just pluck numbers from the air without doing any research, but not OK for someone to thoroughly read an RNS, cross check against other sources, then get their calculator out and show how they actually came to their conclusions. I think you might have something backwards there :)
"Can't work out why some of the chief researchers here say things like 'we are nearly at boiling point'." Because 'it' is. Recognition of climate change and air pollution, car/bus manufacturers rapidly moving to EVs, countries and cities banning diesels and even sale of any ICE vehicles from certain dates, grid storage etc. etc. Compare the current climate to just 2-3 years ago when battery based grid storage was laughed at and the whole concept of EVs were dismissed as just being a fad, would never take off and there would never be any demand for Lithium. You couldn't say the same now, could you? See how quickly has that changed! The whole market really is at boiling point and REM is very well placed to take advantage of it. It _will_ happen, you just have to wait for it - and be in when it does ;)
couts - I think Father Ted and the plastic cows could best describe that situation for you: "OK, one last time. These are small… but the ones out there are far away. Small… far away…" As I've said before, all comes down to timescales - come back in 2 yrs (or August like you promised before) and let's see whether we've got a small plastic cow or a effing great Lithium powered bull :)
You really ought to spend some time googling and scanning satellite photos - then you'd be able to see the progress for yourself ;)
"Because I keep reminding you the share price has not gone anywhere! Years have gone by and it still hasn't! " Um, yes it has - its been up to 2p a couple of times and was sat above 1p for quite a while. All about timescales couts - some are happier to look further into the future than others. If this is still at .5p in a couple of years time, then I'll take notice of you, until then, everything you say means nothing (in my opinion).
The current discussion of interest doesn't appear to involve Lithium, so on that basis I think you can allow yourself to join up ;)
"I'm amazed people haven't cottoned on it's all a bit of a fairytale!" Is someone going to have to kiss DL? Bagsie not me!
Yeah, SpaceX will need lots of potash for fertiliser when they start colonizing Mars! All coming together nicely now - from one mine they can build solar panels/batteries and fertilise the plants to power and feed the colony AND build the space craft and supply the fuel for the launch to get there!!! Wonder if Tesla will build Mars buggies..... PS. We've just had our company pool car Model-S delivered. It's got the new Autopilot 2 and is literally covered in cameras - it's even got them hidden in the indicators! Doesn't work as well as the one we've got with Autopilot 1 though, which is a bit odd.
Couts, you are of course correct. All this rocket fuel talk is complete nonsense. Its the Aluminium Lithium alloy used in the fuel and oxidiser tanks in the Falcon 9 that _really_ matter ;)
Nah, just the Greenland license - he's put it on ebay and the current bid is only £4.50 ;)
Yeah, I heard that DL is holding out for £5.55
You forgot the coiled spring ;)
If we believe his story that he's sold at a loss, then he's either looking for a scapegoat, or confirmation that his decision to sell was a good one. Either way, he's not going to get that here, however much he posts :)
