In our last RNS I indicated that we had presented our program to NNPC, this in fact occurred over several meetings. In the same RNS I outlined the program which we indicated we were moving forward on. No where did it say we were waiting for NNPC to approve the program. The contract that Essar Nigeria holds is a sole risk contract. This means that NNPC has no right to back in nor a right of participation. As the concessionaire their only right is to judge that the program meets the minimum obligations under the contract. Our work program far exceeds this. In the two interviews I gave over the Internet I stated the next steps are to get the permits from another organ being the DPR. This is what we are working on now.
