very good call AP. I caught a falling knife. thought they were smart/experienced enough to cope with new competion, and felt their new factory would give cost advantage. but I dont see much point selling at this level. and they are maintaining div. maybe we are both whistling in the dark....!!
Wow. drop from 720p 2 months ago to 560p today. Didn't think results were that bad but city evidently expected far better. Good buy now - Or falling knife?? Maybe BME is better....
Hope so. Bought in a couple of tranches yesterday below 370.
Great results yesterday and outlook. Jet2 entering the big league now. Sp up almost 20% yesterday. Maybe now will fly above the radar.... Expect some profit taking today but we will see. But BIG squeeze on any shorters here.
I read these recent positive posts about volume buys and yet sp unchanged? Market overhang? I am a long term holder but losing faith and patience. Time to move on, Take the loss to offset my cgt gains before 5/4/18 and reinvest in something with more immediate potential. GLA
Many thanks. Looks very positive and still be low the radar for many but should react to results and positive commentary. Maybe Artemis felt that had become a little overweight as the sp marched up. Now to decide what to sell, before buying in!
Bit lonely on here Rivaldo! Looks like you are the sole poster. I have watched them on and off and just see that Artemis have sold a few but still have a significant holding. Brokers have a tp of 450p and suggest div increase. I held off until more certainty in Trumps infrastructure spend, but maybe now is time to jump on board. You still a holder? How do you read it now please?
Great results from EJ today, attributed in part to Ryanair pilot problems, and monarch/air Berlin reducing overcapacity in the market. So presumably dtg have benefited similarly yet the sp. Is static. Maybe only trading update will move it, but looks a screaming overlooked buy. Dyor
Yes, it is,a puzzle and I do hope that it is not a serious health issue for Mark or his family. It is interesting to me that his key executives for operating subsidiaries are all long servers with most if not all with 10years service plus. Unusual these days. So opportunities there to delegate a lot of stuff but I suspect the key deal finding/making falls on the CEO and FD. Seems like a great time to bring in new blood at a high level, maybe from corporate advisors etc. If he finds somebody quickly perhaps he will reconsider. Looks like a man overstressed and in turmoil. Hope he can work through it for his sake. Health and happiness way more important than wealth
No need to wait for agm, just watch Mark WJ interview 18/1 on Equity Development site. Very odd
If institutions happy, why £50m+ knocked off value after excellent results, and great Belfast sign off?? Strange interpretation of the week
People will sell because they are incredulous that the CEO would walk rather than restructure, to achieve better home work balance. And in interview in answer to a question about becoming non exec, merely says he will see what the future holds. Clearly all is not as it seems. Perhaps we should expect a takeover, which would be a reason not to sell yet!
Tip of the week today. States undervalued relative to 888 and daddy power, and repeats Barclays view that gvc value is less than 2021 earnings. Positive views of Ladbroke deal structure. Let's hope sp moves forward now.
Num is brokers just initiate cover of Uanc with a target of 400p. Another step in the overdue re rating ....
With the latest deal looking a cracker, and the large credit line renegotiated on good terms, surprised the sp has hardly moved. Just topped up. Future for tef looks bright
That was my first thought too but then I decided it was really positive that he could get 1.4m shares away at 160p. Shows confidence that they can be resold quickly at a higher price inv.
More strong buys today. Good to see.
Why do you say the small independents can price cut?? Surely SFE have economies of scale, particularly with the new factory ? But like tesco and corner shops for example.
Plenty of buyers around at this level. A £400k buy just gone through. I have topped up. But rather less than that!
I will be very surprised and disappointed if the dividend is cut. The sales value miss was very small although increase cost of sales was disappointing. My sense is that they are being conservative and rightly so.
