Reflecting on the little tangent Cliff went on, i wonder whether they are having second thoughts about listing Microsalt in the UK or the US. Despite what he said it seems pretty clear that he doesn't think much about the backing given to nascent tech growth companies in the UK, and the 'ability to price tech companies' here...

I didn't think that question was put very well. Difficult for Cliff when he can't see the actual questions.

Only 1 trade today. Was the fall in share price today of 3.70% a result of 1 sell order of total value £4.18?

The need to do the 2nd raise so quickly is probably a mix between (a delay?) in the planned Microsalt IPO and more demand than expected for the product.

I don't mind dilution. A bit upsetting to have to do it when the SP is so low though. If you want you can always buy BELL separately, so in that sense it doesn't really matter if TEK exit or not. For disclosure i have a stake in BELL.

It isn't news that companies which are loss making will periodically have to raise financing. The pertinent question is what is the trajectory towards profit.
The other thing is what is the money being used for. If it is because we are overflowing with orders and we have to deliver microsalt to customers i am fine with that. Remember, they will receive considerable revenue upon delivery. What is the margin, 60%? I don't recall what Cliff said.
If the SP was higher (at or above NAV) then dilution would be a lot less. Maybe they will get that benefit in the future if one of these portfolio companies goes big.

I would expect a big RNS on Microsalt in the next 2 weeks related to these large forthcoming orders and/or the IPO.

For all you technical analysts out there it appears that the SP is challenging the downtrend line in place since last summer.

No doubt a lot of the move is to do with positioning. Nevertheless a lot of people seem to lack comprehension of the applications for ChatGPT. Imagine you are walking around a museum. It can tell you about the painting you are looking at. Or if you are cycling around a city you can ask it where to go for lunch. Imagine the applications for people who are using safety glasses as they work, and want to know something they need for their craft.

Perhaps some of these things could be used through a phone or a watch but having the product close to where your mouth is as is the case for glasses, when you can't move your hands easily, could be advantageous.

I was curious about the bit discussing the patent for GPT and it's value for non eyewear products. What use is this to Innovative Eyewear? Is there the suggestion that they could perhaps license this technology to other products?

I think if LUCY stayed around $3.30 for a few weeks then TEK would slowly catch up but the volatility in LUCY is so high TEK is cautious in buying into it.

I agree with that TopCatz. I remember when TEK ramped up massively after Belluscura got the FDA approval even though it was pretty obvious it was coming. AIM is far from an efficient market at the best of times. It is the sort of stock which can do nothing for a while and then shoot up by >100% in no time.

The Guident shock absorbers went from being a potential stranded asset to being adopted by a major car OEM into production. So placing Guident as one of the market leaders in what is set to be a $4 billion market. This arguably doubles the Guident value overnight. I don't think this has been fully appreciated.

This is excellent news. I am very much encouraged by this.

On wider production numbers they wouldn't generally release these outside of official filings.

On the Chinese production numbers they probably commenced production today so they wouldn't even have any numbers for this yet.

Yes, this is what i understood. Apparently the old auditors didn't have enough resources to do the work on time given a recent merger...

FY2022 report now expected by end of June.

Hopefully we will be updated before then in some shape or form.

Harald is quite a charismatic guy, which investors can buy into. This is the sort of stock which could take off in the US.

I agree TopCatz, i wouldn't bet against Harald if i were you.

I think a part of it investors waiting for news from BELL. Wondering when the FY2022 report will drop and what is going on in China.

April does appear to be a strong seasonal month for TEK. If you go back and look through past years a few times it has risen by >100% in April and i don't think it has ever gone down. This could be in anticipation of what tends to be strong FY report usually released in May. I think this year will be no different with strong upgrades to NAV for both Microsalt and Guident likely. Against that i don't think BELL can hurt us much more from here, and actually is probably going to recover at some point too.

On BELL people are still nervous about the production miss last year from the restructuring to a more in-house approach. Also took longer to get FDA clearance on the product initially.

I don't think they have learnt that the market likes it better to underpromise and overdeliver than the other way around :)

Would they put the commencement of production in China as an RNS?

Nevertheless if they expand even close to projections then it will do very well in the long term.
