I think investors will be pretty annoyed if they dump Microsalt on the IPO and it then triples in the first year.
Besides, there are conditions built in as to when they can sell. And with good reason. If they were known to be a heavy seller then that would make it a lot harder to price the IPO in the first place.
The most liquid conditions to divest is when the companies have developed and have sizeable day to day trading volume.
I think it is a mistake to think that shares always decline after IPO just because that has been the experience recently. We have been in an extraordinary bear market in the last couple years, which has most affected small caps and startups.
I don't know why we have to keep returning to this canard. They are an investment company and there job is to invest until they grow in to successful businesses. If you don't want them to invest then buy different stocks.
