I think underappreciated at the time of announcement was the improvement to the 'strong pipeline' for Guident. I would expect more big customer deals before the end of 2023.

I agree Agricore, you can't really value a company like TEK based on balance sheets or income statements. It is about technology and the potential/ability to leverage that technology in the future. It is a play on your confidence in the quality of the management team and the appetite for this technology, often in markets which don't currently exist.

I feel like Microsalt just did this to annoy that guy who was making wild claims that it wouldn't work in bread.

I wonder what this new entity to be spun off could be worth to a buyer. A complete guess, but say it was bought for £10 million that would be quite a shake up given the total market cap of TEK is only £20 million.

Only a matter of time before BELL gets back to £100mill market cap. That translates to around £12mill of the £18mill TEK market cap.

Just reflect on that for a minute.

I don't think there is much debate that the size of this market is considerable. It is who will come out as the winners and who won't make it. That is why this latest agreement is so important. A really positive sign.

The reassuring thing about Guident is i feel that it is a favourite of government authorities. They seem invested in making it succeed. With the right news Guident could be worth £100 million over night. It has already built up the infrastructure and expertise.

Coming shortly in a couple of weeks is the H1 2023 earnings report.

My reading is that everything is on track. They have interest for far more orders than the 6500 they agreed to take. The key thing to watch is how much they can ramp up production, so monthly production numbers is key. Getting accreditation in certain markets is also a goal.

Investors are also waiting to see if a big player comes in and buys out the company at these cheap values. The strong IP value could be attractive to a Philips for example which could also potentially scale up the operation more quickly...

A couple of takeaways.

1. They could have taken orders in terms of multiples of 6500 orders, but wanted to be sure they could keep in line with production.

2. The Chinese supplier is expected to potentially ramp up to 5000 a month and beyond moving forward.

So, some questioned the projections for BELL over next year and future years but it now looks like it is actually on an even high trajectory.

My biggest worry now is a takeover. BELL is way below its true value and is a very good acquisition target given technology and bright future.

Wouldn't be surprised if we are back around 100 in the next 9 months especially if interest rate cuts start.

I think there is a sense that driverless cars are this futuristic thing off in the distance which will never actually happen. But here it is actually happening. And it can gather steam very quickly. Like AI has done.

So this really is happening now. Driverless taxis becoming normalized in San Francisco now. How long before this is every city and every taxi?

AVs could be the next big hype. I think the market will begin to look for anything to do with AVs. That means Guident.

UPS now agreed to pay new drivers $170k a year. Many saying this will be the last deal they do as they accelerate their move towards autonomous delivery.

I think investors will be pretty annoyed if they dump Microsalt on the IPO and it then triples in the first year.

Besides, there are conditions built in as to when they can sell. And with good reason. If they were known to be a heavy seller then that would make it a lot harder to price the IPO in the first place.

The most liquid conditions to divest is when the companies have developed and have sizeable day to day trading volume.

I think it is a mistake to think that shares always decline after IPO just because that has been the experience recently. We have been in an extraordinary bear market in the last couple years, which has most affected small caps and startups.

I don't know why we have to keep returning to this canard. They are an investment company and there job is to invest until they grow in to successful businesses. If you don't want them to invest then buy different stocks.

Hi TopCatz, I tend to think it is all quite abstract until you start getting some meaningful cashflows and then it becomes more meaningful.

Determining the economic value of an IP is tough. For example if the IP is amazing but the management are completely useless then in the end they would make nothing.
