Somebody sees value at these prices! My insignificant top-up was made today. Time will tell if wise timing but happy to let this pan out as described in the RNS, ongoing well clean up and additional drilling this summer, so near term.
I think the point is made Victor, this share probably won't be too interesting now either way until drill result, or early sniff of oil. As you note from previous drills no spike on spud, sideways movement until result. Good in my opinion, either the brave will be rewarded for early commitment or losses minimised because there are other drills following up. I like the prospects here but there's little for traders to capitalise on between now and results, gotta be in it to win it.
Not sure who this rather challenging statement was aimed at but personally I've invested to see what the outcome of the drill is. Again no idea who the 'everyone' waiting for the so called hordes to arrive are but again I have no interest other than outce of the drill
I would strongly recommend any potential investor to read the recent RNS' as highlighted by the original post in this thread by Mr008. Very difficult to make an informed decision here. Sentiment seems to have turned for now but I question on what basis other than director buys and options based upon future success. You'd hope the directors know something we don't but when you read the official facts in the recent RNS' it casts a long shadow of doubt over anything they say or do now. Good luck to anyone trading this or buying into the potential for future success.
This phase is set to take 10 days as already advised. Testing is then expected to begin next week presumably dependent on success of this preparatory phase. I would expect an update next week on that basis, or possibly end of this week if on plan.
I notice that the so called 'FOTH' suffers the same grammatical challenges, are they one in the same person?! It would explain a lot.
Aside from being a type of fluffy yellow cloth what is a duster and why would there be a time limit / date attached to confirming something that can be acquired at the supermarket? No mention of 'duster' in the last RNS. They do say that they will be working to understand the scale of their discovery and seeking to confirm commercial flows. See below as you may have missed it...
James Parsons, Chief Executive Officer of Sound Energy, commented:
"These positive initial results underscore our confidence in the exploration potential across the broader basin. We will now finalise the logging, drill to TD and then test the well to better understand the scale of the discovery and seek to confirm commercial flow rates."
All your pain can quickly be alleviated ocelot, sell now, into the loving arms of a holder with greater intestinal fortitude, you will feel better for it!
Indeed, as a PI you are mere flotsum on the great tide with very little influence, buy hold and frickin wait patiently whilst this plays out (according to plan and v nicely if you read the RNS). Do not expect great riches overnight FFS. You could go invest in a 1 year fixed rate ISA with the bank, will out-perform being here, possibly, but I doubt it!
Feels like best option now would be to wait for confirmation of spud via official RNS. With the track record of this company and elements beyond their control it is not inconceivable that spud will be delayed. Despite reassurances I perceived enough ambiguity in last update to put me off at this stage, reiterating the distance to move the kit seemed to imply it'll be a while yet before they can confirm spud. Fair play to anyone taking a punt though. Hopefully it happens as planned.
Of course people are making light of Orson's situation, it is not real, merely a wonderfully transparent excuse to post negative drivel under the guise of a parody account (every BB has one or more!). Feel the rainbow, taste the rainbow Orson, a warm welcome awaits you from the Rampton's and their pot of gold.
Would this be your normal assumption when using the adjective Scandic? Can only assume it applies to your investment here otherwise why bother posting it.
Give it chance Bighow, many will be busy organising their multiple IDS and deciding how best to bicker amongst themselves today!
This board has exceeded itself on comedy value this evening, we have representation from the full spectrum of punter, the old fogeys dabbling with their first short through to those qualifying their opinions with dubious industry experience, think I saw the qualifier 'we oilers' earlier, wonderful stuff. Then there is this poor, quivering appendage of an investor frightened for their investment - you know what to do in the morning, this ain't for widows and orphans as they say!
Just read it, aside from somewhat snide reference to 'academics' it seems like a pretty factual and comprehensive retort. Too short a statement may have come across terse, they've considered all the possible links historically and recently and there is no evidence. That said, with all this highly sensitive and new monitoring equipment I'm sure the academics will find what they're after, yes, enormous subterranean worms are sucking up all of the oil and causing tremors as they excrete. It's all a waste of time I tell thee.
Classic film that one, although I think 'There will be blood' is probably more relevant to the UKOG story than gigantic subterranean worms!
Sanderson could hardly leave any more clues could he?! Two weeks back he was extremely positive, now he reports that Portland initial test have been excellent and exceed 2016, matter of time before he confirms commerciality but what is he really telling us in Friday's RNS - Portland is just the starter, it's the underlying potential of the Kimmeridge that we should not 'lose sight of' - not exactly subtle is it!
No chap, just 'extremely positive', it's there in the RNS, you read into that what you will however!
The company's own interpretation of the EWT results so far, released just a couple of weeks ago, was 'extremely positive'. Go read that RNS from 18/7, it makes for good reading and balances out much of the doom-mongering here. HH is in the process of being proven commercial.
Not seen that, a quick check of his twitter shows him having a conversation in last few mins about buying more shares when out of closed period, for what that's worth!
