Expecting news regarding mine improvements and additional offtake. JORC due Q1 2018. Hopefully more Lithium than originally thought.

I think a few people were expecting an end of Nov update hence the sells. 111k trade is a buy not a sell. My top up.

It is difficult to say given the secrecy of figures. The last fund raise was of an amount that should be able to implement all of the upgrades required to improve output/efficiency we hope, but until figures are released we will not know. Confidence from investors has been dented due to GC promising far too much in the early days and not delivering. Since then LJ has come in and taken a more slow and steady approach. The only figures in the public eye have fallen well short of investors expectation and that is why the share price has been on the slide. LJ has reiterated the fact that we are looking for quality rather than quantity of tantalite hence production is low. The fact that we have a multi year offtake agreement with a global leading company is a huge positive but again who they are, without speculation is still not known. With regard the Lithium there was an original report that was circulating regarding the lithium content that did look quite promising but again nothing has been released yet. The only comment made by the company being that the lithium reserve could be much more than originally envisaged. The ducks do certainly look like they are being lined up in an orderly fashion with the improved plant equipment, increased working hours and a possible second offtake partner but until the figures and JORC are released it is impossible to say. JORC due Q1 2018. Is the mine self sustaining. I would say that the mine is starting to tick over under its own steam but if there is a further resource revealed it will probably need more money invested to reap the real gains.

The recent placing kind of underpinned any price below 6p to be a reasonable entry price. Given that, it has not recovered to anywhere near the placing price lately but tends to draw a flurry of buyers when it hits 5p. I agree an operational update would be good but tend to feel it will not be until the new year, hopefully being coupled with some good lithium results?

Lithium demand is expected to grow and almost double by 2025!! Fact!

If they find Lithium they will get around the problems that arise. Tantalite Valley is located to the north of the the River Orange. About 5 miles actually. The River Orange is the longest river in South Africa and the actual river basin extends much farther North into Namibia. Google it!! I can’t see them just giving up because of a few hurdles in the way of a successful mine, but time will tell!! DYOR!!

The second customer could be Lithium driven. Previous news suggested all tantalite was being bought by the original offtake partner. Maybe a Lithium offtake on the cards?

I agree Bat666, but a recovery has to start from somewhere. Figures would suggest we are at, or close to the bottom. Probably just jinxed it by saying that but again time will tell.

No he is not invested. I think he probably was and lost some money hence he’s bitterness towards the company. Probably trying to get some losses back hence the deramping. You’ll know when he invests because he becomes a ramper.

RBR. Please tell me where it says that they have a water problem! I asked you this the other day and you did not answer me then. You are blatently deramping for your own personal gain. The last RNS stated they were moving the bore holes closer to improve efficiency. I understand they might not find a reliable, closer source, but they did not say what you are saying.

I agree, GC did make promises that he didn’t deliver but that’s the business man not the mining expert. He most definitely got it wrong. Larry has now come in and changed the strategy and caused the delay while improvements are completed. I keep seeing people mentioning this ‘water’ problem. No where does it say this. It states that new bore holes are being drilled that are closer to the mine to improve efficiency. ‘Water is a key component of the NTI plant operation and to further improve the efficiency of the operation, a local drill operator will, during week commencing 18 September, drill three to four fresh boreholes near the plant to provide water closer than Aftan's current source. These boreholes will also provide future water reserves and support upcoming core drilling under Aftan's Lithium Exploration advancements which are expected to commence during Q4 2017 and will include expanded Tantalum and other mineralization studies, with the guidance of MSA, Aftan's JORC third party competent person from South Africa. Details of the planned core drilling are in the final stages with selection of the drilling company to take place shortly.’

I am really not interested in whether you hold or not. I am just pointing out that the same story can be told in both a positive and negative manner. I understand people were unhappy with the last operational update but to be honest it was not as bad as everyone is making out. As i said earlier, why would they release figures of output when all upgrades are not complete. Too many people are bashing the company at the moment. Yes GC did promise a lot that has not come to fruition but he is a business man and not an expert in mining. Larry was brought in as he has the expertise to move things forward and he has started to achieve that although a step back now and then was always inevitable. We are funded for lithium exploration and are producing tantalite, although not a huge amount at the moment, but he is aware of that hence the upgrades being introduced. I do agree that this was ramped to a considerable extent and I am under water at the moment, but who’s fault is it if you bought in on the spike. GC for not making us all money, the tampers for ramping this to high heaven or the investors that really did not research properly. Yes we have been sold a few lines that have not been backed up but that is what happens on AIM.

I’m sure they will give further updates when improvements are completed. The last RNS explained that upgrades were ongoing. There is no point giving out figures halfway through upgrades as they would not be indicative of final improvements. I agree that confidence is dwindling, but this is only due to the constant negative spiel being posted across the board. Not sure if the derampers are clever enough to be working together but there are definite signs of people with their own agendas. Why would people continue to post negativity if they have sold out? It’s quite hypocritical how people post negative comments about GC being a ‘crook’ and ‘bent’ but in their next breath post very negative about the company. It really makes them no better than what they accuse!!
