I agree Graphite is safe for the medium term - I'd say a decade plus at least. Nearly all the investment in gigafactories are for battery chemistry's with graphite content. These things don't change overnight or few years. Investments need to be recouped from building factories, mines, and the various other supply chains. You should also be aware there is further R&D and investments going into Lithium ion batteries to improve them. Never mind all the other battery types which use graphite.

Sodium-ion batteries are seen as a cheaper and safer alternative to the lithium-based batteries widely used for energy storage as they work better at both very high and low temperatures. But the amount of energy they can produce relative to their size has long lagged lithium batteries, making sodium cells currently impractical for most electric vehicles where space is at a premium.

Northvolt said on Tuesday that it had now validated a sodium-ion battery at the critical level of 160 watt hours per kilogramme, an energy density close to that of the type of lithium batteries typically used in energy storage. Lithium batteries used in electric cars have an energy density of up to about 250-300Wh per kg while those typically deployed in energy storage have about 180Wh per kg.

IMO still a long way to go on this tech. The level of capital and effort going into R&D in the energy storage space is staggering.

Graphite spherical 99.95% C, 15 microns, Fob China was trading $2100 in September and nearly $4000 last year. That's some serious cash when we're in production, although expect it to be higher price by then.

BoD has been decent and transparent to date unlike Jeremy Martin aka the Snake and Retter at HZM. They lie as easily as drinking a glass of water. The worst of the worst IMO.

Personally, I would wait till next week as charts indicate sub 5p inbound subject no transformational material news ie takeout, offtake, Oprah Winfrey as new strategic partner etc.

EU adding synthetic graphite to the EU Critical minerals act. It confirms to me they expect a potential major shortfall and danger to supply if they've added it. If you look into how its made, its not very green or clean.

ARCM....SP beat down like a cheap hooker by her pimp as the JV took over 2 years to complete. Its my biggest holding of a microcap in the uk.

JV is now complete with AA and unquestionably the best JV terms a junior has ever received. Interestingly AA owned the licenses but sold them in the 1990s when it was exiting Africa. AA ranked the licenses areas between 1-25. ARCM has 9 out of the top ten, a few more in the teens as well. Ranking 22 (i think) went to become a tier 1 producing mine by FQM, as well as few other multi billion dollar mines in the AA's previously owned licenses areas have also been developed. I would say, AA must be damn sure there is something very meaningful there to offer such terms to a junior.

Let the drill bit do the talking, I've personally never been so sure about a micro cap before. Won't be selling for long time (subject no major news ie revolution in Zam, WW3 etc) to come as full value will take a decent while to pan out . Even then I would keep a decent amount just in case we ever got into production with AA (unlikely IMO) and to receive the worlds best divi - one can dream.
