I have more in this share than I'm comfortable with but my gut tells me good things are coming. Top up on Tuesday open or top up on the positive RNS, that is the question.....

Interesting how optimistic folks were last week compared to this week, including me.

The inevitable with RDS, BP is up but it will be a bumpy ride for sure. I think there will be a decent improvement over the next couple of months due to mainland Europe pulling ts act together on vaccinations and lift downs being lifted.

Always like to read a technical analysis.

IMO, its Covid uncertainty. New variants, lots of countries still going through new waves and lockdowns including 1st world European countries, air travel suppressed etc. Has the HUGE double tanking of last year imprinted in folks heads about energy stocks?

BUT why are American oil majors doing great? I know Americans are much more active in the stocks but that can't be the sole reason.

Sanctions overall, ie sectoral sanctions on Chinese.

Again, unlikely, seeing how they are the U.S 2nd biggest trading partner after Mexico.

To add to my point above, I think the biggest risk (though unlikely) IMO is some sort of sanctions/economic warfare by the U.S. There is major anti China sentiment in U.S politics as they are the only country to be able to challenge the U.S title of hegemon. They are rapidly catching up since the 90s and exceeding the U.S in some aspects.

Fine you don't like the share, BoD etc but why don't you just sell and move on?

With 50% funded by Gangfang for stage 2 and a producing mine, I have near zero worries about financing going forward for phase 2. This mine will EASILY be financed by Chinese banks/offtake, prompted by Chinese government. The Chinese will take most natural resources but without a doubt something as strategic as this will be financed for sure.

I am talking from experience as I have worked directly with large Chinese private and state entities in the middle east and africa for hydrocarbons and minerals.
