RE: FCA looking into MM’s of Petrofac31 Mar 2023 16:50
Amazing - thank you very much, PhatStyle.
I want FCA to look at who is messing around with the STOCK PRICE AND MOVEMENT, and not the company. It is absolutely wrong that our personal investment and value in a company is dictated by a handful who have the TOOLS and OPTIONS to 'decide' when a price should rise and fall. What on Earth is that about?!!
I am sorry, but I have to speak my mind. We are not asking for favours or freebies - we just don't want to messed around.
Also, the whole shorting model should be paper-based as I was told by a firm once; meaning, they are just taking a stake per point (per penny) against a firm who borrowed them, and if the shares go down then shorter makes money, and if the shares go up, the firm borrowing makes money. That made perfect sense to me. So how on Earth are they able to impact the REAL MARKET PRICE - as in they shouldn't be able to. All they are doing is a gamble trade, whereas we are doing a real life investment for growth!!
But, how can you sell something you don't even own. That's completely against the motion of what an investor - BUYER is trying to do. And to make it worse, these shorters can then buy back long for the upside gain.
The value based model of investing does not exist as it seems - and that is the ONLY reason why this stock is not like it's peers or higher £3, £4, £5 and so forth!
That's my only argument and I feel like I speak for many when I say this, IMO.
Have a good weekend all.
