Also by him getting the dividend payment, does this mean he is in a great position to stop any more dilution of IQAI shares etc..?

looking at the last report they released they were very surprised at how well they had done, i suspect this will happen again as they were in a better position expect what might happen and use government funds to mitigate for the stop in direct pub selling points.

the great thing is that due to the summer and that people drink at home they as a business would still have had revenue being generated.

anyone want to speculate on this point, just having a think of the long term game here.

can see this happening over the next week, funds buying up the stock and locking in a higher price to shake out the low holders, so that they can sit on this stock into summer and be in a strong position to make good returns.

the size of this company now (Marstons and Carlsberg combined), means they can very easily weather the storm of Covid and keep operating. with the small pubs and breweries in difficulty, this means Marstons are in an even stronger relative position.

Dex, it's a very well known practice for tech companies to build up product base and patents in order to get bought by a bigger company. This is a standard silicon valley practice.

They are building their product and partner base. As far as I'm concerned this is amazing as it means they are more tempting to be acquired by a big medical or tech company. If that happens we are looking more in the region of £1 - £2 a share base on potential market size and cost to get the approval on current solutions.

Within reason Marston combined with Carlsberg are a "safe-ish" bet. They will be making far better profit margins and the share price has lots of room to bounce back. This is a golden opportunity

It's a safe as an hospitality and drinks company as can be given this year. If anything having the down turn will help them review and focus. They will bounce back in better form and make more profit margins.

Something's going on

Well the main point is they are now a company with Carlsberg, this is a massive partnership.

From the most recent press release:

"As previously
announced, the Group did not need to utilise the additional £70 million bank facility secured in
May. In addition, the sale of Marston’s Beer company to the joint venture with Carlsberg UK
Holdings Limited completed in October, generating initial net proceeds of around £230 million,
further reducing the Group’s bank debt"

Basically when the wheels get turning they are in a secure position, have massively reduced debt, and will continue to reduce costs due to the partnership purchasing and share costing.

By combining both businesses they will massively reduce costs of products
Already have a big established market and mature market
And have key channel in place with retailers (supermarkets), and physical locations with Pubs

this share is already getting ready to gear up, hence the jump in price once they passed the competition review, now we are entering the end of the covid era, and people want to party, get ready, can see this easily going to 100 by end of the year with funds consolidating the position while it is very cheap
