The app that CTEA released in Botswana was an Identify App, the C19 app is a completely separate product line:

what are you on about, the app they are trialing in Botswana is an Identify app not the C19 one.

By the sound of the interview with the CEO the C19 app is going to be aligned with Gov / medical institutions and companies so that they will foot the bill and pay the money.

fingers crossed its a UK Gov plan in order to get businesses back to work and people in the office etc... as they are desperate for that to happen.

Looks like the rest of 2020 is a write-off and potentially into 2021.
The UK PM wants people to go back to offices, but can't really see that happening as we live in a new age of remote and home working now, and I imagine a lot of employers don't want the liability of someone being forced into the office and getting sick.

Another reason (or 7 billion for every person on the planet), with C19 App is something that needs mass adoption soon!

AFRIK-ID is fantastic news. David John Newman, is the former Botswanan ambassador to USA, Canada, and the Caribbean. Imagine the connections this guy has across multiple government agencies and companies.

foreign companies operating in the region are under more scrutiny than ever and expected to have more due diligence, both from a PR and legal (liability) perspective. The ID app is a massive part of this framework and essential.

Botswana is a perfect test ground, once it gets seen by the other regions in Africa this will get picked up very quickly by companies operating in the region and thus millions of potential users.

To quote from an interview with David John Newman:

We don't have to do anything, the sales and marketing is done by Catenae themselves.

Africa is a massively growing market, with a grow enriched population, and become the defacto ID app there is a strong foothold to longterm profits.

the apps this company is making are B2B supportive, and that is a big commercial market that spends money on efficiently and peace of mind. The apps that Catenae are making cover this.
