I agree Nobull, I see this as long term potential and a takeout is bad news for any long term shareholders who value growth + dividends. I originally invested here just sub 50p around 25 years ago.
The management is excellent - just look at how pro active they were at rebuffing the takeover but also the latest H1 announcements showing how they really focused on gaining outside smallholders crops to the tune of 157%.
This is lower margin but will feed well into profits and shows they are already well geared up for their own expanding CPO.
Haven't seen any new notifications from KLK - but they can get lost as far as I'm concerned!

Standout here is that AAZ is actually producing and raking in that money - just at the minute gold prices are all one way,
but it won't always be so, and although fine for riding the speculation, I suspect many of these projects may come into fruition when the price starts going the other way - I'm for the bird in the hand + AAZ has a few in the bush as well - so can't fault it !

I agree Daz, and especially as they are potentially talking about Germany & Italy as well. This will all have a reflection on any optimistic sentiment and will surely put people off short term holidays abroad in particular.
With a large placing done in May at £2.57 (20% more shares), I'm afraid I have sold out until / unless it's back near that £2.50 level.
It did go right down to £1.50 at the initial sell off, and whilst probably still a longer term good company, it's current outlook makes the share price look far too rich for me.

...imagine if this was one of our retailers - Sales (cpo production) UP 30% + Selling prices (cpo) UP 17%
the share price would probably have jumped 50%.
Ah well, hopefully this value will out in the end...just have to be patient!

Velo and co - I agree with your bullish trends - but how on earth can we find a sales ratio of about 3 to 1 today on reasonable volume (which look genuine buys / sells)
Hopefully they are barmy and we will reap the rewards - dividend or no dividend....

CPO price was $510 in May - share price around £5.50
CPO price now $688 - share price around £5.25
30% increase in CPO with a pretty static production price should make the price rise if just a few more people could add 2 & 2 together?
Half year results around mid September and I will add a few more if this trend continues.

I'm actually glad it only looks a relatively small project - lowers risk and still the focus should be on the massive gold price rise and the other Azerbaijan projects.
With it's generous dividend, the share price is almost exactly the same as this time last year -it looks increasingly lagging....

...also strange when (appearing correct allocations) it is showing roughly 1.5k shares sold and 2.5k bought!
CPO price also still gradually rising - $655.
Minimal volumes but beats me why the fall with good news and sales activity - biggest fear still KLK buying on the cheap?!
Excellent company and management - I 1st bought shares in these around 25 years ago at just under 50p.....

With the CPO price steadily rising and now up to $650 from $510 in early May,
it's disappointing to see the price slide - and unfortunately just what KLK wanted by stopping the buy backs.
Have to hope it recovers quickly enough before they launch another low ball bid.
Board did a great job to fend them off for anything below £10 last time....

Mini bounce today maybe partly due to a rub along of THS latest update around prices & production which seem generally pretty encouraging around PGM's and environment.

...and with pretty fixed all in production costs of around $600 this has a once in a lifetime margin levels...long may it last, and currently the 'opinion' seems to be for possibly $1900 going to the end of the year.
Can't understand any sells currently at this price.

In short probably not without inside knowledge or pure speculation - they have always talked openly about their various 'in country' opportunities,
but only vague mentions about other licence areas in Azerbaijan and very vague about other country propositions.
However if it stacks up - particularly if nearer production (to get over the psychological 100k oz production figure) it should be good in providing further risk spread to my mind.
At these gold prices they are printing money, but mustn't overpay - as one day the gold price may not look so bright...

...is it partly because no regular news - the next Quarterly report is due until the end of July,
finals end of August - these types of shares tend to just drift off when this happens,
when people begin to feel nothing is happening, when hopefully they are in fact busy stuffing more cash under the mattress..?

...it's small, produces under 100,000 ounces, 114m shares in issue and is probably the only uk listed company in Azerbajian...
apart from that it's a great hidden gem!
It's probably also fair to say that it has good long term potential rather than the 'biggest find in the world if we find it and can get it out' kind of company that many get excited about....

Historically they have never used shares to raise money since listing, preferring debt and even a loan from the chairman when faced with hard times. This bodes well as they haven't diluted shareholders like many small mining companies.
At current metal prices they could probably afford the cash production and debt route which is another bonus to my mind.

....added to which MPE's increased dividends and previous share buy backs have left little actual cash, that was part of the 'cheap' shot attraction for KLK - to take over a company cheaply with a basket of cash to half pay for it as well.
Now they should have to pay the going price - we need to see the CPO price increase, as this in turn ups the whole asset value of the trees.
Recent low on may 14th was $510, but now around $585......$600+ please....

...don't worry - Trump will soon upset everybody and the apple cart again!

I'm not an expert on how these things work - but apparently these shares are largely to satisfy ACRM's short position - to get them out of the hole of shorting near 17% of the shares.
The new deal and ACRM's agreement to back off would have cost them dear - so the extra shares help them and also provide more money (i.e. less debt) in the process.
This may mean that it has a fairly negligible negative effect, and hopefully will continue to rise - subject somewhat to oil prices.
I'm not sure I like this type of weasel dealing - but it is the oil / finance industry together - say no more!

...note for the below 750,000 shares sold in 3 trades at £5.75 - will see if these have been picked up by KLK,
as normally a volume amount of this sort on such a modest company would result in a movement of at least £1 for a market maker to be able to shift....

KLK poked with a sharp stick - I think that showed the buybacks were an effective move to keep the price up, when few shares are sold each day - shame, but hopefully it has served it's purpose - as todays news was very good.
It could now have a gradual drift down for them to benefit, but they must largely rely on a large institutional shareholder to get bored of a lack of share progress.
Should still hold for £10 if everybody in is wise enough!
