On the 18th May when the share price fell to 28.5p you both stayed that the share price will be guaranteed to be 40p the following day. I’ve come back to see if you were right. You were both totally wrong.

Next news expected by WMH will be early to mid August with half year results. It is fair to assume the share price prior to that will be somewhere around 160p?
We’ve had an amazing amount of good news of late. The VAT return, Betfred buying lots of shares, the return of sport a lot earlier than first feared. A very positive trading update a fortnight ago. The growth in America is very appealing. The share price has kept rising and rising but it can’t rise too much further soon, can it?

It is a one off. And seriously I came here with good intentions. I lost a lot in the past on firms like Magnolia Petroleum, Oregon Gold which were small AIM firms. I learnt my lesson. If you lot want to invest here it’s of course your business. We are all here investing in shares with the same goal - to make money. There was no need to be hostile. I get it that you don’t want to take notice of my advice.

I am all in, its been extremely lucrative. Share price went down to 29p in March, now back up to £1.27. Laugh all you like.

Seriously, I’ve been there in the past, getting sucked in to AIM shares, reading the hype and ramped up narrative on these forums. Stick to proper companies where they are run properly. There are loads of great opportunities right now with share prices having dropped massively due to the corona virus. You’ll lose all your money following share like this, you mark my words.

I don’t own M&S shares but read the RNS. I see very little movement in this today. Maybe slightly down.

And furthermore - I do agree that betting shops are no longer money makers since the £2 limit was introduced but William Hill are aware of that and closing 700 betting shops. And in terms of the return of sport has been factored in, the share price was just short of 200p before the coronavirus crisis began. What happened to that 80p gap? The coronavirus disrupted sport in an important part of the year but the US masters is rescheduled for Nov, we will have Euro championships and the World Cup in successive years. Tour de France is rescheduled for September. Sports are coming back now and as WMH said last week they are ready to power up. We’ll see who’s right here.

You’re a cheery individual. What you say about no appetite for betting when there is no crowd, how do you explain that lots of people were betting on table tennis as they wanted bets. I only bet on football and bet on every league around the world.
You say also there is not much positive to look forward to. Overseas revenue accounts for 29% of WMH’s revenue now and they’ve gained licences for 5 additional states in America including California.
JP Morgan have raised their target price for WMH to 195p and I think those of us who follow WMH here believe that price is attainable within a year.

Yes I’m surprised this is not higher. It was at 110p for 2 weeks about a month ago and at that point we were not sure if or when sport was returning or how WMH was performing. It’s been all excellent news since then. It feels like it’s being held back ready to rise again. But if the MMs want to keep the SP down then I won’t complain. Pay day in 10 days time. I will put another grand in come the end of the month if it’s at this level.

Amazing when you think about it that this was approx £2 per share per coronavirus and that trading statement is solid and positive, sports are returning and sports betting revenue was only down 70% for a 7 week period and yet the share price is around 80p lower. It’s only a short amount of time and the growth of the company especially overseas is very exciting. What a buy in price this is. This is not me trying to ramp up this share but just discussing the reality of this whole situation.

It’s opened up at around 110p to 112p. I am surprised as I thought it was a very positive trading statement.

Jesus 28p - why did we not put everything in? Shame you lost your review Morbox, I rate your comments. I am amazed by the % drop in sports betting, I thought it would be far higher than 70% drop, I was expecting like a 300% drop. But... I have been betting on football still - Belarus football has been a godsend.
Will be interesting to see what the SP does today, but given we now have a lot more answers to the uncertainty about how WMH are doing and we know sport is returning, if the SP was to stay at these levels it is a must buy investment.

Yes I thought the same, looks like a very well run company. All the figures are positive. Given that sport is resuming starting with football and horse racing basically now and the weeks ahead and how well WMH have managed this crisis and the growth figures in all areas, and very strong financial position, given that this was approx £2 a share, this is an absolute bargain at this price. Will soon recover. Very very happy with my investment here. I’m here medium and long term and this update has made me feel good about my investment here.

Lots and lots of positives in that RNS, future looks very good and WMH have done very well in protecting itself during this coronavirus crisis. Personally I couldn’t expect any more than that, we all know sports betting revenue has plummeted which is why the share price plummeted but costs have been kept down well. How do others feel having read it?
