Say what you want about CSP but at least he knew how to do an operational update, example

"We're drilling now and when we finish drilling we'll send them to be analysed, should be this year, thanks"

Hi Andy
I think all the articles show that the MP used political will to block the decision and also the correct process to proceed according to the law, if any party was acting unlawful , than it was the MP.

From RNS 3rd Feb 2020
In Autumn 2020, Phase 2 work will commence testing the multi-array method in parallel with drilling at Kallak South, with noise from drilling providing a passive seismic source. Testwork will determine if a 3D seismic model can be constructed, using the established seismic characteristics of the Kallak deposit, and whether the 3D model can be used to identify previously undiscovered magnetite mineralisation for the Kallak South Exploration Target areas and for Parkijaure.
In anticipation of the Concession being awarded for Kallak North, the Company would then consider a follow-up programme of drilling at Kallak South and Parkijaure. The Company was awarded an Exploration Licence for Parkijaure nr 6, covering almost 1,000 hectares immediately to the south of the Kallak deposits, and similarly prospective for magnetite iron ore, on 24 October 2019.
and from May 2020
Kallak Drilling Contract Awarded
and then July 2020
"A recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the region and continuing movement restrictions mean, at this time, it is impossible to commit to the drilling programme at Kallak with any certainty.
Don't see why that already planned and contracted drilling can't recommence ?

hypocritical call for impartiality despite the constant block to all mines

I'm with lbjj on this, my first reaction was great, looks promising until he announced the Sami request and I though here we go again the same old merry go round, we were told by the government that once UNESCO opinion was received that was enough now its seems not and I'm sure once the SAMi respond then UNESCO and BEM will be asked for their opinion on the information received from the SAMI and around we go again !

If you don't like the law just change it !

If it was me I'd wait until the morning of the 6th to reply as then there can be no "accidental" leak to the Sami to then give them ammunition in their response. I don't believe this request for UNESCO comments is limited to BEM and nothing is going to be done by the government until after the submission date
IMHO

Wotitsworth,
that's assuming we are the only ones asked to comment. it would not surprise me to see a response to UNESCO from BEM and other interested parties published, then end of Sept Government will ask all parties to comment on their respective responses by end of November.
on the bright side as the mine in Wales shows an indirect effect of a mine at Kallak . It could be a future UNESCO site ;)

Its seem that despite rhetoric the politics is more powerful than the law.
To make it interesting rather than all the legal threats against a government (which i think most of us agree would mean financial bankruptcy for a company of our size) if the report show that a certain party of the green persuasion was using politics to block the decision than as everyone agreed ,( including said party), that the law was enough.
would this not be enough to bring the green party to court for violating Swedish law ? might be a better outcome than the government and looking at the green party fiances would probably be more on a par with our levels .
Might make them take stock on the whole situation.
Just a different tack for consideration ;)

I’d be careful though, reading the posting it looks to me like a opposition committee asking about “ The Government's handling of the application for a processing concession for Kallak - G11“
Not any decision Likely , the answer will invariably be the same as they gave parliament and us in the last year , we are working on a decision and can’t comment at this time a decision will be forthcoming as it is a complicated matter
