"It's production, Chuteless...production of an iron ore direct feed product. :-)"
Yeah right ;)
application of the Environmental Permit in Q4 2023 .
say minimum 6-9 months for approval without any objections etc that is mid -late 2024
which leaves 2025 to submit planning , get approval and build a mine infrastructure even say end of 2026 , IN SWEDEN !!
IMHO iron ore wont be out of the ground at kallak before 2028
agreed or Prior planning prevents P!ss poor performance.
Not seen any coherent plan as of yet beside word salad of downstream efforts and something might happen in 2026
He needs to look more upstream rather than concentrating on downstream.

Pocko not sure they need to apply for work permits unless this has lapsed
May 27th 2020
Beowulf has awarded a drilling contract to Kati Oy for up to 1,650 metres diamond drilling, targeting additional potential iron ore mineralisation at Kallak South.
·The work is being undertaken as part of the European Union ("EU") funded PACIFIC Project ("PACIFIC"). The aim of PACIFIC is to develop a new low-cost and environmentally friendly tool for exploring for sub-surface mineral deposits. The programme will test a multi-array method in parallel with drilling at Kallak South, with noise from drilling providing a passive seismic source.
Followed by 14th July 2020
Kallak Drilling
Beowulf announces that drilling at Kallak, scheduled for Autumn 2020, has been postponed because of COVID-19 and until such time that resources can be fully mobilised and deployed safely.
I would suggest that we are now out of COVID, funded and drilling can resume ??
More on Pacific project (operated at Kallak summer 2021 but no drilling ??,now closed)

“I hope you're wrong Chute about importing graphite from China and I think you are...in the presentation Kurt indicated towards another mine in Finland…”
Jesus Sue
Just read their website unless they have a hidden mine in Finland the graphite is coming from China, India and Korea ,
the same as all these liberal left companies with tee shirts from sustainable resources made by child labour out east.
As I’ve said it’s a mad world ????
I like the tape of mining in the background, it wont be recorded at kallak anytime soon LOL.
just joshing with you my guess is the plan is to build facility but he knows as stated in the presentation it will take about 10- 20 yrs to open a mine in a Nordic countries. best get anode up and running apply for planning and sell the lot as a going concern. at least realising some value and leave the headache of dealing with politicians to someone else
Chute
Also guess where our Dom gets his graphite from ;)
Daa, Daa
yep you guessed it, China amongst other places
"Graphite, the third stable form of carbon on our earth besides diamond and fullerene, is mostly extracted in China, Korea, Canada, Brazil and India,"

Afternoon Eric
Whats your take on latest news that snuck in ?
"In May this year, Grafintec signed an MoU with Dominik Georg Luh Technografit GmbH ("Technografit")"
A graphite supplier supplying to an exploration company with a viable graphite mine which we don't seem to be applying for anytime soon??
not announced that MOU but shortly afterwards they announce Eplison bins our MOU.
Maybe Eplison thought it sounds like a ponsi scheme and wanted out but that's me just being cynical ;)
By the way Eplison haven't updated their website to say MOU now off
Chuteless
Jonnyr - don't worry I've been called a lot worse than clueless, probably deserved as it just a bait for my own amusement ;)
Hey Eric agree with some of what you say but the trend is highlighted by the latest Figures from Swedish Business Association's ranking of the local business climate, out of a total of 290 municipalities in sweden, Jokkmokk has dropped 26 places to 265 and Gallivare has dropped 20 places to 274. Of Norrbottens 14 districts 9 are in the bottom 50.
We know that despite Sweden's exterior face of "we're a mining country", the reality is the greens used their political influence to block a legal decision from being made for quite a long period. It should never had gone to politicians for a decision but to the courts as "the law was enough". More corrupt than some African countries they look down their nose at.
Take care mate
Clueless
Cheers Eric
I really hope it comes good for you too mate, Got me some in POW at the moment (at least a CEO who knows how to speak, prioritise and plan) but as with all aim/ exploration its a gamble ;)
I don't think the green Transition is quite the change its hyped up to be, green steel is still in planning stage AFAIK and could be refused, not all greens support green transition,
its a mad world I tell ya ;)

sorry link doesn't seem to work in essence.
LULEÅ. After a fiasco local election, the Social Democrats will likely lose power in Jokkmokk. This means that several parties that are opposed to the mining plans in Kallak can take a seat in the municipal management.
Chute
Yep permitting still going to be an issue and Kurt didn't seem too confident we would get a mine approval. lbjj is correct (IMHO) when asked direct questions he seem to stumble a lot and made his plans clear" it depends which side of the bed I gets out of " not a very inspiring plan !
other notes of concern
Uses EU warning message of reliance on China for materials as a boost and then announces MOU with a Chinese company
Graphene mine on hold while we buy somebody else's product !
shows big hole in middle of K south drilling and wonders why previous team didn't drill it but after 8 years still no plan from him to drill it.
as usual with BEM more questions than answers.
With the below link and the news from Andy re Sami extension request (never been refused before )
I've been a LTH for prob 9/10 years when in the 2-3p range sadly its time to at least halve my holdings as there is much better options out there. Will look at buy in options again around the 2.8 - 3 mark again. might be worth a small punt from there.
gone under the radar but Andy might be able to shed some light.

Uncle no need to come back on this I already know you sold 4 million in the teens and gave it all to charity ;)
Chute
To be fair, it'll be about a year or more before the Swedes cobble together some agreement to Govern with these parties.
I'd expect another election first before a stable government.
On another note looks like Kurt is doing the rounds for the next fundraiser ;)

“There is nothing being released because we have been told study work is underway on Vaasa and kallak”
Vaasa is a factory to produce product for anodes etc and yes requires study etc
but who here knows how it will have any base materials to work on, I delved through the Finnish mining and besides a licence for exploration on attilampi there is nothing to suggest an application to mine ( can’t say for sure as it’s in Finnish so limited to Google translate :)). The last RNS of any worth was this time last year when a scoping study was supposed to be just about finished on attilampi but was delayed to include Vaasa since than nothing. I guess the frustration for us all is we know about the proposed anode factory etc but we have no idea what is happening with the mine. Is there more drilling to do? are we applying for a mining concession? and more importantly when will any of these things happen
Chute
I think that is more about the process of making anode as they appear to be using a thermal process. assuming any process will need approval to fit in with the Overall scheme ie: low carbon ,
more interestingly he mentions about “expecting customer offtake agreements in the near future”

Bit of more info from Eplison here.

Looking at up and running in 2025
I think this time last year Grafintec announced grant for £100k received and to be used on feasibility study etc, you would imagine that must be nearly ready by now ?
Also if want to be running by 2025 a mining concession would probably be needed soon to construct and start ops on that timescale.
