Im trying to do the maths ; if they have in effect forward sold £15m of maturing stock at 70% of final retail value. that equals about £70 per bottle now. = 214,000 bottles = 800 casks to be sold in 2 years. Out of 17,000 casks at Masterton, = just under 5% of current stock in casks. So in return for forward sales of only 5% of stock in 2 years, SMWS get £15M now. That values forward stock at > £300M minimum at only 70%. If they have plenty of stock for 2 years time ( they do), and they can lay down more casks to replace these pre-sold 800 ( they certainly can much cheaper than that), then it might just be brilliant. Am I wrong ?. anyway just bought a few more at 48p. DYOR. also have a hunch that Ferovinum must have conducted some sort of due diligence on SMWS and liked what they saw.
Could be 250,000 shares traded yesterday under Delayed Notification. Guess somebody sold a lot, and still selling today. if so, we will see more delayed notifications come through tomorrow or Monday. Could be that recent refinancing with Ferovinum for £15m is not liked by someone. Inc me, don't understand why they need all this money. Despite the fact that they have raised access to this new £15m, apparently this doesn't increase their debt. ! wow, wish someone would give me access to £15m and it doesn't increase me debt mountain. What on earth do they want this for ? lack of detail could be worrying, but on the other hand perhaps they are acquiring some new retail premises. On any trading terms, are the shares worth squit ? Becoming just a play on them be taken over. And then there is the recent report that premium whiskey prices dropped this year, and Diageo shares are fallers. Yuck, thank heavens for RR. DYOR.
Interesting article on thehindu.com 8th April, re RR India. Kishore Jayaraman interview. door.
Really interesting to note that Step 2 has been reduced from 2 years to 16 months !! DYOR.
Letter of Intent signed with Norway yesterday . dyor
CONVB .... Ha ha. LMFFO. . I caught a "little'Un" there.. You should stick to Ramblings, plagiarisms and childish RR Car attacks. Clearly, with your intellect you would bring nothing to the scientific debate on fuels. SAF is an Initialism that can and does exist in the both the singular and plural forms and it is not grammatically incorrect to use an s . The use of SAFs is common. After 20 yrs growing over 10,000 ha of OSR, with an AD plant, also treating FFAs; I don't need a lecture from you. Land should be used for food not biocrops. (Tell Turkey to take its 25% of agricultural crop dedicated to OSR out of rotation and grow cereals- it will once it gets its RR SMRs) . Deforestation ? The Amazon?. SAF from cooking oil ? Municipal waste ? Forestry ? Soya ?. You are clearly uninformed if you think they are the future !! PTEs - don't expect you've even heard of them and have reached for google search . It will be hydrogen / batteries once the big Middle East airlines need it, (possibly with 5-10% additives). Hydrogen is not yet classified as an SAF, neither "blue" or "green" (although hopefully it will be when production processes are improved. And before you spout "carbon capture", it doesn't yet reach the required capture % age .
Suggest you read the Gov Dept of Transport Sustainable Aviation Fuels Mandate. Summary of consultation responses. Released March this year. And then leave science to the experts. I'll refrain from insulting you : But I've got an old bottle of Chloropropham if you need it.
Don't put too much faith in SAFs. !! The equations do not stack up for SAFs. It would take about 20 hectares to fuel one long haul flight on a wide body . There simply isn't enough land for food and biodiesels for lorries, planes etc. Energy crops are very greedy on the ground and require heavy fertilising etc. Even if we irrigated and planted whole of Sahara. It will be hydrogen and/or batteries.
We've 2 boys. 30 & 27.
Eldest going Japan this year, belated honeymoon.
Youngest off to Canada next month. And Sri Lanka + Mauritius 2-stop honeymoon next year.

" European regulators to cooperate on Nuward SMR licensing
EDF (French) might have an SMR designed, approved and running by 2035. ? they are even going to design it based upon a factory modular concept. Wonder where they got that idea from ?
This Spanish Article reported this morning might help anyone on here to understand what is going on in Spain. Sorry I can't attach links , but somebody else prob can. Google either of these : and translate . Good article . Reassuring . IMO.
"SEPI wants to have 28% of Indra before the Shareholders' Meeting to reinforce Murtra"
"La SEPI quiere tener el 28% de Indra antes de la Junta de Accionistas para reforzar a Murtra"
cw. They are struggling to build that consortium of Spanish.
CW. cheers bud. Personally, Im not bothered. Im in RR for the long term. 3-5 yrs. Have family there. But given our overly negative press, this combined with US running up, could see some turbulence early next week. Hence why I first posted this . Tread carefully . Night all.
Rycey currently up to $1.17 on Nasdaq = £0.93. So US not worried at mo. !
JMHO : Bain raised $667M term loan in February for first term payment . Ticking fee on this already started ( after 60 days) at about 200pts + That equals somewhere round about 2% interest acquirers have to pay. Its designed to stop them "slow walking". It usually works and makes acquirers get a move on. But everything in Spain is "tranquilo mañana". So it could easily overrun June 30th. Trouble is Spain wants a consortium of the very best of its high tech companies to buy into the rest of the acquisition BUT it is not a strong sector for Spain. Hence BlackRock are in there, and probably Indra as well. Likely it will still complete (AS Spain is determined to have a strong Air Defence presence-they even took back Murcia airport). But a delay is a definite possibility. There is also the Basque political wrangling to resolve. Im no expert, but could Bain raise further funding ? please , please make your own mind up. !!!
Expansion News (Spanish Press) have just carried the headline , today 2nd June :
"The Government asks Bain for more time so that Indra enters ITP Aero. "
I can't add link, SORRY. BUT GOOGLE the above and you should find it. The Spanish Gov want an extra 6 months for Indra to join the consortium. Indra wanted ITP 2 years ago. dyor
Reyes Maroto, the Spanish Minister for Industry, said on Swiss Davos 2022 only 2 days ago, and she confirmed deal will be finalised, but its difficult to confirm the best partners for the deal. It will almost certainly go right to the wire. ie, 30th June ( RR year end). And that's provide Basque Gov and unions agree. Think it is complex. But will happen . IMHO DYOR.
Maroto says that decisions are being made so that the best are in ITP.
sorry I'm not great at IT stuff. But this just released from EWE agency in Switzerland.
UK Gov press release just now. Gov UKEF sign agreement with Saudi EXIM, to support Saudi Vision 2030. IMO = They want some SMRs, or their own factory. (ps. I'm wondering how many of the promised 40,000 SMR jobs will 1 factory {2 SMRs pa)} employ). and why, given a 500 day build to power-on timescale , is it going to take from 2024 GDA approval until 2029 for 1st connection to grid ?. suspect this will be sooner . 5-6 smrs pa double RR t/o. £20bn+ pa very achievable by end of decade.
Hi all. FYI, Atlanta SMR conference next week Tues/Weds. 1st speaker is Tom Samson CEO RR. (after chair intro). STATE OF THE MARKET. just what a net zero world needs ! who better to open and lead ? Perhaps van Leyen can spend some of her promised £300 bn .
about midday, roughly, sold 7m.... bought 6m. total volume today now at 22m
