The wheels came off when they had to cash in verizon.
however it should be a £1 share
What makes me laugh about these Bp pensioners, these are the ones who were keeping other newer Bp employees out of the pension (when it suited) and the usual Oh I know how you feel and I sympathise and yet here they are wanting more from the glory hole whilst probably for the last 20 years nobody got a sniff of the DB pension, Im 19 years with them as a subsidiary 100% company and now a non senior partner ( Bp own 49% ) to the other companies 51%. They dont like it when its their turn as the company turns on them, even though the Pension is amazing as it is.
If they want to moan they should see how many raises American express have given the pensioners in the last 10 years =zero, not even a whiff of anything extra
Thankfully finished in Scotland with its Feu superior system

God knows how its either half or all of it is hedged
Oversold
Roll on £19
I wouldn't wish that as BP are still in with a shout of getting their share of gazprom back and another few pence a share
Next stop £17 dyor
Once these airbuses start getting delivered the cost per head to fly will drop, another plus
And I would be retiring early 👍
Have they paid the Uk GOvt back yet? as the terms were no divi until that was done
Does the company have a golden share in the share fund then? I thought after the Robert Maxwell fiasco the companies have nothing to do with the pension, that's down to the trustees. My company only increase the DB pension by 3% per annum max or Cpi if lower.
The Bp pension was always in surplus and closed to most people although some got in when they were " defined as required" by the company which sickened a lot of us when I have never been part of the Db pension after working for them or a subsidiary for 18 years. there was a danger of Bp falling foul with the 15% as they never opened any pension for some people despite the size of the company. BP staff and now pensioners are hardly skint especially the last tranche who got enhanced 6 figure sums to leave when on the edge of taking a pension anyway the pensioners forget to tell you that bit and got used to making money hand over fist with share save and share match for decades.
They will be paid for by passengers an airbus 330 holds a hell of a lot more people than a 738 even with a first class which chanex as far as I know dont operate, plus they do need to replace the ageing gutsy 757s as much as I like travelling on them.
and also brings into parts of the world like Thailand, vietnam etc
why would you buy Voltea? Easy exited Spain bases due to high spanish labour costs and laws
The 757s are older which these will be replacing
Have you noticed most have happened on aquired businesses not home grown ones. Texas was probably the worst, was that an amoco one as well?
when an airline rebrands its aircraft, its a cost so why bother?
just think of flybe, 3 livery changes and look what happened
hows that working out lol
