Hi stokey12 - I have been looking at traffic into Methil for the last week & have not noticed any cargo ships going there.I strongly suspect that at least one of the vessels you mention will be carrying steel to our unit at Methil.Watch this space.

Edit: I am still waiting for that positive RNS in the meanwhile I have chucked my crystal ball.

Apologies for the delay in responding to your latest e-mail. I appreciate your frustration at the delay to make a decision, but you will appreciate that there is much to consider.

I can give you reassurance that the Minister has been advised that both the Company and interested parties are asking about the timeframe for decision making. The Minister has also been briefed about hydrogen storage. The papers that he is currently considering are for the construction application for the storage of natural gas.

Hi Stokey12 - Reading your post this morning it feels to me that something is happening in the background particularly with this new piece of kit bought recently.Not sure about the ML that I feel is now on the back boiler but something else.I had hoped for an RNS by today but maybe it is next week.Fingers crossed for now & I am now saying Buy.

oldtramp - Thanks for the link & I have just read the speech.Originally I was against the idea of a 'flagship' as I thought it was flagpole politics however I have changed my mind & if we wish to rule the 'commercial waves' around the world this ship will well service that ambition.It was a great speech & have watched Wallace a number of times in the Commons & at Defence Select Committees & feel that he is what we need (but not Boris).At least we will have some idea if H & W are successful in their bid this year.

Hi oldtramp - With regards 'gearing up for a ship building contract' H&W posting suggests it was posted to wet our appetites & so you could be right.The timing would then a suggest an RNS next week which ties into my earlier hunches.
What I do believe is that if we do not get some form of an update/RNS next week I will be upset & many others.

Thanks oldtramp but what I see in the article a very modern production line with gleaming equipment not like at H&W & that I think is one of the problems. It may be one of the largest docks but with antiquated equipment even the pin jig is well rusted compared with those in your link.

You will see I have now had my reply from DAERA with regards the ML an answer that has taken longer to reply to than normal & I think they needed time to consider their reply.I believe we will be getting an answer shortly even just to kick the can further down the road.Fingers crossed.

Dear Sirs,
It has been stated in earlier e-mails that 'there is no timeframe for the Minister to make their decision' but following a consultation there must be some form of timeframe otherwise what was the point of having had a consultation.Is there not a legal time period that resolution to a consultation is achieved.
Is it possible for my question to be forwarded to the Minister to make him aware that this question is being asked.
Once again I am appreciative of your answering my e-mails and look forward to your reply.

Good find oldtramp I am now following Linda McKee Asocc. CIPD it is another back door way of finding out what the hell is happening at all yards but it looks like Arnish Yard are preparing for their first contract.
