can someone please explain in laymans terms what the plan is here. I have quite a few of these but am down over 90% so have all but written them off.

They must have be laughing there heads off when they wrote that RNS. I must admit it made me laugh too. How gullible do they thing we are ? Maybe they have read rich boys posts haha In fact did rich boy write it ?

Look back at there RNSs have they been 100% honest ? Did they say if you sell shares before 17th you miss out on the oo ? Was that true ?
Remember they only let you know what they want you to know whether it is correct or not is a different matter IMO

Many thanks to all of you for your help. I went on Halifax share dealing web chat and this is what I have been told

" I can definitely confirm. If you apply for excess shares of say 3000 and your entitlement is 2000, if there weren't enough shares you would still be entitled to the 2000"

This is the bit that freaked me out...
If there is an excess application available on the Offer and you apply for more than your basic Entitlement then please be aware that if the Offer is fully subscribed there is no guarantee that you will receive any or all additional shares applied for.

Thank you N3RD + Jace86 . I`m sure you are right. I just wish it showed the choice to apply for extra shares separately but its either take what you are entitled to or try for more

The way I read it on Halifax share- dealing is if you apply for entitled shares they are guaranteed but if you try for more you are taking a chance.
eg if allowed to buy 7mill but try for 10mill and everyone gets 50% you could I end up with 5mill ?
I stand to be corrected but thats how it looks to me
