EarlyCDT® demonstrates potential to predict disease recurrence

Nottingham, UK - 29 August 2017: Oncimmune Holdings plc (AIM: ONC.L), a leading early cancer detection company developing and commercialising its proprietary EarlyCDT® platform technology, and Scancell Holdings plc, ('Scancell') the developer of novel immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer, today announce the presentation of data on the use of Oncimmune's autoantibody technology to successfully predict disease recurrence in subjects undergoing SCIB1 immunotherapy for malignant melanoma. The data will be presented at the Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI) Immuno-Oncology Summit 2017 on August 29th 2017.

The collaborative study, which also included a team at the University of Nottingham, developed a method using a panel of seven tumour associated autoantibodies to predict disease recurrence in patients with resected Stage III/IV melanoma treated with Scancell's SCIB1 immunotherapy. Whilst Phase I/II trials with SCIB1 have been highly encouraging, this additional information potentially enables the identification of patients prior to commencement of therapy who are most likely to respond to treatment in future clinical trials with SCIB1.

Geoffrey Hamilton-Fairley, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "This is the first of a number of companion diagnostics programmes we are undertaking, having shown with internal data that by using Oncimmune's autoantibody platform it is possible to differentiate patient responses to a range of cancer treatments. While validation on a larger data set is necessary, these results indicate that in this case it was possible to identify patients who are most likely to respond to Scancell's SC1B1 and thus further demonstrate the potential of our technology in this application."

Dr Richard Goodfellow, CEO of Scancell added: "If this preliminary data is confirmed in a larger clinical study, it has the potential to improve the design of future clinical trials using SCIB1 by selecting patients most likely to positively respond to our novel treatment and thereby increase the chances of a successful outcome."

Funny enough I have posted up quite a few Oncimune RNSs and they have been well supported, and have done so on the basis we are very much still involved with them. We have never been told we aren"t.

I would think we most definately are still involved with them, and from memory they are based at Nottingham too.

So yes, we have flirted with a few, but I believe we have chosen to go forward with them.

Well there is a change of gear, read the RNSs we have received the last few weeks.

If you ever did e-mail him, you would know he has his own way of putting things, and was actually using back on me a comment I had made a few months earlier.

I respect your choice, but I will guarantee you one thing, by being in reasonably regular contact with both RG and CH compared to none I have quite a few insights, clear answers to the many questions we all have and respectfully by choosing not too, what do you have??

As with RG, CH tends to reply within 24 hours, and part of any CEOs job, certainly on AIM is to build relationships with investors, so have never really understood your point. You must have a lot of questions unanswered TF, but that is your choice, it is not mine.

Good News

Just been hearing about that TF on the news, and available to all who choose to read Share Prophets (I don"t, but do look at headlines) but Winnifrith has been on his back every day for over a year over any number of companies.

" Maybe 'we' had a lucky escape ! ""..............................well certainly seems to be that way, but the whole thing doesn"t make much sense, to me anyway.

Morning , Chester good observatioin about CHs use of the word ""Keeping the Wheels Turning"", I guess it is a thought and one that wouldn"t surprise me.

I do send CH a mail every few weeks or so and I have a few Golden Rules. It is pointless asking a question that involves an answer that could be considered inside information, I have not seen one reply even from RG that would contain that information, and for a credibility factor I feel as a result he answers my mails pretty quickly, and trusts I am not looking to catch him out.

Since he has taken over and on a few occasions when we are going through a period of no news, I do refer to the mood of the BB and have provided him with links, so as he knows the feelings of genuine PIs. I have never felt he didn"t read these pages on occasions and sometimes offer an explanation as to the negativity we sometimes feel, and always sign off with my real name, LSE Username and link, for his choice as to whether he takes a look. He has never admitted to doing so, but in all honesty if it were you or me in his position and he has mentioned like RG did as to the many rude e-mails he receives I would take ten minutes out to see for mysely what people think, being aware of what you are dealing with and knowing what people need to hear is I would have thought a duty of a CEO not a labour of love.

It is those type of replies I consider can be reposted, anything with something personal I don"t, simple as that and we have seen many times sayings like ""bearing fruit" which stick and he must use en masse as others have received that too.

I have mentioned before some here don"t seem to like the idea of mailing Scancell, and for sure if it is going to be rude and about something he cannot answer then they are right, but I would have liked them to think I would never do that, I think regardles of who we deal with the odd compliment, words of support and encourament for an upcoming event are very well received and as PIs we have a right to ask for clarification on certain issues.

Anyway, enough on that, indeed it is a possibility and reminds me to ask him at the next AGM whether he ever has.

Teamhanz, I have said it a thousand times, there are a few biotechs that interest me. I said two weeks back this could well go up, when it does I say well done. What interests me too is some of the posts I read.

Is there anything I just said that was bad. Simply surprised that data unpublished is shared to all and sundry. There are confidentiality agreements, but I really don"t know if that applies to data.

Anyway, GL I hope plenty of you got in at .25 and make a buck, there are no motives, like any share with big rises and big falls I check out to see what is going on. That applies to spreads of 33% too. Take care

Teamhanz, hi. Can"t see the relevance of that question. I was actually asking isn"t that insider trading? Uncanny is probably right actually but there is a thin line between insider trading and disclosure of trial information. As i said really don"t know TBH, Perhaps Stach could of mentioned under what disclosure agreement it covers. I think I mentioned leaky ship, it is not as if we haven"t seen that before.

On the 9th May Calculas RNSed their Annual Financial Report. They had a couple of good rises too, and this is what they had to say about Scancell.........................

So they clearly believe in us still, and say pretty much what many of us say here, is Glencross a ramper???

Interested to know also the dosing regimes i.e. what they start SCIB1 and Keytruda with , and at what intervals I would think would be to cover safety and toxicity levels which I am presuming we will hear after three months and possibly getting news like, ""dosing has been well tolerated"". Info like that.

Got a pretty good idea myself but really don"t want to exceed expectations or indeed miss anything out.

So guys, you"ve always been needed IMHO, perhaps now more than ever.........................
