RE: what's the state of play?13 May 2020 00:25
donnodertrader, if it was at any other time, I would agree with you, and there are a few people asking for updates, one of who is ivyspivey, who has asked on a few occasions for that to be the case, but I was hoping after replying to him four times he might have responded to me.
I think it is very unrealistic to expect that at this stage, we have SCIB1, SCIB2 and MOD1 waiting to enter human trials, unfortunately those have been suspended as a result of this virus which is world wide and affecting every leading Pharma in the world.
We have as of April 24th entered the race for a vaccine for COVID 19, which is also an extension to the Immunobody platform. It will be just 12 trading days tomorrow since we announced those plans, and I am surprised as that is the case a few are becoming impatient. What updates do we want the company to release, when they can"t even give us clear dates as to when we can resume trials??
It seems simple to me, that if we can get the funding we need, it will inject sentiment into the share, and with the possibilities of Avidamab returning commercial deals sometime from July this year, any statements re funding for these platforms will come when we have an idea of what income we have coming, let alone any further interest from Pharmas in our Platforms.
So I really don"t know where this feeling of expecting updates at this stage is coming from-to be honest and given the timing, it seems to be something which a few people have latched on to, but really is that realistic at this stage to expect. I wouldn"t mind until Scancell can be specific as to timelines what is the point in commenting at this stage?? Do you not feel, however frustrating the majority of shareholders understand that. Funding for the COVID 19 vaccine also changes the dynamic for any further fundings we need, another reason at this stage not to expect what I don"t see as expected news at this stage.
We have enough to organise with our role in these trials, let alone our two other partners, and as I said the Heads of Agreement for any deal because of the parties involved will involve time, which some are seeing as delay. I don"t buy that, but of course any positive news from Scancell regarding talks on the COVID 19 vaccine will be very welcome, but not something I expect until a deal is finalised and I think many would agree with that.
I was and am very excited by that RNS, and I see no reason giving the 11/12 days that have elapsed since to lose any excitement, perhaps a few are trying to get in lower by suggesting at this stage there is an issue, more than what we expected.
On to tomorrow we go, an interesting day today, and going by the volatile movements we have seen since the announcement I just don"t think we will see a sell off sub 7 at this stage, and hence why I topped up today at 7.0875.
Good luck to all of us. GN
