Experts from both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University are lending their expertise to Scancell Holdings Plc, which develops immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer.

The company is adapting its cancer vaccine to develop a new jab to prevent future infection by the coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.

Scancell is designing a DNA-based vaccine which will be safely delivered into humans, whose bodies will then produce antibodies and T cells to kill the virus.

The Mirror were supplied with the text and the photogaph from Scancell, they haven"t made it up from nothing.

News can come at any time, I just wonder after the weekend press whether one will appear during the day.

Good Morning All, well I beat my alarm clock this morning, slept like a babe, and feeling good about our week ahead and in fac our journey ahead full stop.

O ne thing became very apparant to me yesterday was the funding channels open to Oxford Uni and the Imperial College, I am sure there are many others too,,but hopefully not for long. As was rightly pointed out yesterday FTI Consulting and many others are of the highest importance to us all and together we will make it.

Looking forward though now to today, an RNS, I presume and see how we perform in the market today, this could be the biggest break we have ever had, lets seize it, and support Scancells efforts which I believe have been tremendous so far, GL and keep punching.

Well tomorrow is the 15th day since the Covidity RNS, my my how well Scancell have done in that time to get the media coverage that we have had in such a short time. I think they must RNS in the morning as to a third party link to manufacture the vaccine, and I can"t imagine whoever it is wanting to remain anonymous at this stage , and it is price sensitive news after all.

We have had more press these past three weeks than what we did all those years ago when the shares surged to 64p momentarily!! Staggering as we see the SP now at 6.5-6.6p. Feeling excited for the week ahead, and we can now see the media stepping up, rather than slowing down, and different parties having a vested interest should only increase the media sounds from all parties.

Tomorrow mornig?? I will be surprised if we don"t open around 7p-7.50, even the party who sold 600k and 400k on Thursday and Friday and many other six figure sells will be watching intently. Can we breEch 10p, well who knows but a return to the 9s seems very much on the cards IMHO, so lets see whats in the RNS, and I remember a short time ago RG replying to cc the day after info he could not give.

However much joy I feel at these developments, being able to demonstrate the science that is Immunobody I yearn to see something similar with our core platforms, but this can lead us to the promised land during a time we least expected it.

Good luch LTH and even new investors, we have all been waiting a long time for something like this, lets enjoy it, I have certainly sent my best wishes to Scancell, any doubters to our intent should be very heartened with the press today, I know i am. cc, delighted to see your post about the Nottingham Universities, hospitals aand Scancell pulling togeter for Scancell to develop, what they do, a vaccine to treat us all here and globally across COVID 19 and form a basis of a defence against similar outbreaks which the worlds scientists fear, along with second or third waves.

Personally it scares me that a countries need economically will to whatever extent dictate their stratagy for returning to normal as quickly as possible and IMHO risk the lives of many of their citizens and that is based largely on a need to return to some normality due to their own precarious economic weakness. Again ""time will tell on that too"", but should not be ussed as a whipping stone against countries like us recognising the risks and being very careful not to put more lives at risk.

CC, really appreciate your input here, press continues, some have suggested we have wasted our chances?? Why!!! Regardless how many times I say it there has only been 14 trading days since the Covidity RNS and all of a sudden some want us to believe the search is over.

Keep safe all, there are some predictions it will take 3-5 years to clear the dangers of this virus, I dare say the 14 days since the RNS will not define we have failed in any way in our efforts as scientists talk more and more about vaccines. GN

Well after seeing what the article was all about, just for a short time admittedly, I would say ""Have a long read........not!!!

What have these links you post constantly, have anything to do with Scancell??? It is a constant dig at poiticians, or a suggestion that all virologists in the U.K. are not to be listened to, based on comparing the odd bit of data, which drives the stratagy of countries and might also find agreement with our scientists dependant on that individuals place on the curve at any one time.

So again I wake up to all these links and sarcastic comments, from someone who needs this COVID19 project to work for us, and suddenly we get a few ADVFN posters arriving whose comments are made for personal gain to support their given trading position at any one time, and does hit chords for some LTH due to delays we have had to suffer in the past, despite the delay in the SCIB1 trial being caused by the FDA taking a long time to Approve the trial, with what was an issue caused by information needed by Ichor...................and when Approval was granted it was in the face of this virus rearing its ugly head in WuHan which would have caused many Pharmas to stop recruiting where they could long before an official shutdown of trials was issued.

Compare that to the research done by cc on our behalf, he never comments on pure speculation that nobody in Scancell has the ability to negotiate a deal, and that is after just 14 trading trades, since the RNS was released. Wonder why the Nottingham newspaper even bothered discussing the trial ""which will so obviously never go ahead!!, lol.

Chester made the point more than a week ago, about visitors or newbies visiting this site, the criticisms since the RNS are all about trading stratagy and generating bad sentiment amongst as many people as possible.

None of know how far we have got down the fundraising route, did anyone expect it to be done and dusted in 14 trading days??
