RE: Are the results of the Phase 1 Covidity trial imminent?22 Aug 2022 18:53
TF, sorry to hear about your cousins loss, COVID seemed to be what began to be just one of the events that has caused seismic changes to the world as we know it. have my doubts as to the commercialibility of even a Universal Vaccine with the world like it is, we really don"t have to look too far to see weapons of mass destruction being the most sought after commodity in the world right now, which is hardly intended to protect human life.
Trust is a thing of the past for me, the very same propoganda used in Russia just makes me think of the propoganda closer to home. The cost of living crisis is a national disaster happening and in the waiting and the state of our NHS is in absolute crisis mode, another disaster waiting to happen and is happening right now. I must be the luckiest person in the world as long waiting lists for cancer patients haven"t applied to me, simply because UCLH is an awesome hospital and my oncologist I doubt has ever had a patient diagnosed four times alive still after ten years and they are showing no sign of allowing that to slip. One reason is they have learnt so much from my case I seem to get priority treatment as they learn more each time, but the cost of living is dragging people of all shapes and sizes into its ugly clutch.
We will see in the next two years a sharp rise in cancer deaths, due solely to patients being unable to get early enough diagnoses to treat and cancer charities, namely CRUK, are experiencing cash restraints which is not allowing them to find breakthrough treatments. How I pray our Moditope trials are doing in humans what they did in mice, I am not sure of the prognosis of our patients but they seem to be surviving lower doses enough to escalate dosing now, apoint cleanerworld made in relation to Covidity trials. With such small numbers being dosed any negative events will cause chaos to our plans.
A nd finally, with apologies for the negative tones, Scancell still do not put PIs more in the picture. At this stage that is not their priority, protocals are, they have the money they need (in dwindling amounts) due to slow recruitment and expenditure, it is only the iis that really matter and we hope they are content with any progress being made.
As violindog says we hope we are burning tumours as fast as the SP is sliding. Never a truer word spoken.
The next inflection points to me could arise in the next 8 weeks with the AGM and I hope it is being held somewhere where access is good for us to go, I will be very interested to hear the updates that are due.
Goodnight All.
