Well finally finished reading back on many posts I have missed until a few days before the 1st AGM recording and again, as always, in retrospect, things seem very different to the disappointment many of us voiced at the time. I guess, considering first impressions were largely directed at the lack of news that might have been expected, taken as a whole it shows just how much has been going on the last few months despite the seeming lack of progress that we hoped for.
It has been a few years since I have felt as comfortable with my holding as I do now, which is just as well as I have been adding the last couple of years to breach my targets of 200k and 250k holdings. The famous elephant in the room has been excorcised for now, at least, and who could have imagined at the AGM last year of breaching even 10p let alone the highs of 18.55p, and during time where we have experienced so many difficulties in a fast changing world we have raised £48m, largely due to welcoming on board Redmile, and even now with the M/Cap at £94, that represents four times the Cap than it was then, and this despite initialising the SCIB1/Keytruda trial, the disappointment of recruiting no patients and the advent of the coronavirus which apart from changing all our lives put the whole trial on hold. Part of the disappointment I felt after the first AGM was perhaps the reality that the virus had affected us, like everybody else, and progress had indeed been stalled beyond our high expectations. The appointment of Susan Clement-Davies on the 24th September RNS (I think that is her name), raised my eyebrows(and hopes) and the recruitment of more scientists and now Dr Gillies and Dr Miller IMHO fill so many gaps I felt needed filling, and all this with that knowledge we have the funding in ploace to make the next giant steps forward, as long as this virus situation allows us to enter trials soon. So I don"t think it is a case of months before news reaches us and to some extent the fll (for a number of reasons) seems more reactive to me than at first, the first signs of recruiting patients will serve us very well, again with the knowledge that we have grown as a company again, and now have that all important funding in place. It seems to me also that a few suspects will be raising holdings and with the amount of shares in issue and iis holding them we will be less likely to see the manipulation we have seen before on a number of occasions.
The most mportant factor for me is I have long felt a lack of confidence in our own resources to take trials through Phase 1, Let alone even start them, and I feel we now do, and in the next 18 months, hopefully the data recovered should see a big increase in the IP, and remember the IP now has been valued very low considering our bank balance. As ever awaiting next news, but as with increasing sites a lot more has been done and I am sure we find out shortly exactly what that is
Keep punching, much to look forward to................
