Does anyone know what can reasonably be expected from the 2020 drill programme in terms of life of mine extension based on meters planned? Are they targeting 1,3,5+ years of mine life all being well? Apologies if a stupid question
The more I look at the Kouroussa project and deal the more I like it as a Hum shareholder. Reading the most recent corporate presentation (Q2 2020 Operational Update) the project financials look strong (DYOR etc)as does the scope to enhance the resource. The recent coup validates the decision to diversify geographically, versus say acquiring Cora. Additionally, it’s mentioned that there is ‘infrastructure with replacement value of £20m in place’. Nice little bonus and something I’d not picked up on till now.
This was as of July 20 - things may have changed since then of course and yes there’s the loan etc.
Hi Aprogerson, I saw Hum’s holding of Bunker Hill referenced in their most recent corporate presentation:
https://mcusercontent.com/2ec1aedf7c6032b9773f0c98d/files/e4ee69d1-7444-485c-a39d-5ec654b19b81/BNKRPrez.pdf
Hum’s holding is stated as 4.58%
Should read “..important progress for us shareholders..”
Bunker Hill announced their Maiden resource a day or so back, 11m ounces of silver. They’ve also started their first high grade silver focused exploration campaign (4,570m drilling). Whilst the market response was muted (small resource perhaps) it’s important progress is shareholders on our fourth front. Bunker Hill may yet shine
Spotted a picture of the new Hum airstrip on their twitter today - nice. “Substantial progress is being made at our airstrip...with the expectation it will be operational later this month” @25th Sept. I think the target was to have this ready Q3. My confidence in this team continues to grow
Very pleased to see the license news today, congratulations to the management team.
Wow - Dugbe is officially active!
Pasifino technical team on ground - now
Drilling contractor on ground - now
4 rigs to start drilling - Nov
Consultant appointment - “awarded next week”
Don’t think I saw this digitisation news posted, BH are also to start drilling in September. A maiden inferred resource is also expected to be published from the Q2 20 drilling in coming weeks. Hum’s investment making progress...

Good point, thanks Ash! Their HQ is in Canada not the mine Itself as you rightly say. Apologies to all for any confusion. Cheerful
The mine we do not name have increased their equity private placement a second time to c$20m.
How much Hum cash, if any, will find its way to Canada? Hum’s strategy is clear in Africa after recent updates, the Canadian adventure meanwhile remains an enigma for now...
“These results were in line with our expectation and guidance is maintained”
“We retain a ‘buy’ recommendation and move
out target to 50p from 44p based on 1x NAV and 4x EV/EBITDA. We expect the shares to rerate as exploration extends the mine life at Yanfolila and the new Kouroussa project is developed”

Managemen’s decision to throttle back production to protect (“safeguard”) the plant appears prudent to me at least. Running within tolerances will have reduced the likelihood of equipment breakdown. Had there been a failure of the plant production may have gone down for an extended period of time given C-19. It’s therefore a trade off - a relatively small reduction in output for increased confidence in the plants ability to operate without interruption . Onwards and upwards. ATB
The good news for me is that the results are at least out. No more scurrying around at 7am looking for Hum’s Quarterly Results RNS. Looking forward to a lazy morning tomorrow. ATB Cheerful
Many thanks for sharing your perspectives and insights Lesserof2weevils and TBTT (and others on the board). I’m feeling reassured. Indeed I see Pasifino is up 34% right now. Lets hope the Hum holders get to see our 51% (which don’t need to earn!) reflected in the share price soon :-)
I am still confused if this was a good deal for Hum shareholders or not. Hopefully a future broker note will make it clear. I also don’t understand the decision to reduce the Cora stake give the relatively small amount needed to maintain stake. Would welcome others insights or any AGM question feedback
Pasifino have posted a July 20 corporate presentation detailing the Dugbe Gold project. I can’t post the link apologies!
In other news Pasifino has announced resumption of trading tomorrow. Exciting!
And another thing...I’m excited about with regards Hum is the Diaban Exploration Permit immediately to south of the Komana Exploitation permit (and let’s not forget Faliko and Malikila to the East). According to the 3rd Feb 20 RNS greenfield reconnaissance drilling is planned including Diaban targets. Hoping for even more reasons to be Cheerful
