Spot on about Australian superannuation funds. I worked in the industry in Sydney about 20 years ago and pensions where compulsory even back then, even fruit picking backpackers landed up with a few dollars in a fund. And yep 99% of the all the pension pots were held in Australian listed companies. Huge amount of cash in superannuation there.
