Market Dealer what price is your target? You say heading towards it ,well every chart has it heading upward direction ( 1 week, 1 month, 6 month, 1 year) . If you have shorted you are losing or in fantasy land.

It's both losing and defo 100 % in fantasy land.

I think the EU rates tomorrow will be a good indication for direction. If economy has improved significantly then I expect a slight drop in base rate. However if still room for improvements then rates may even stay put..

The markets are currently factoring in a small rate cut as economy is showing some growth...

Hopefully banks should have a good positive day today lovely weather. Might even get myself a banana milk shake later 😋

You may not of noticed this is a Lloyds bb and loads of repetitive poster's have been blocked by so many who just want to read Lloyds related posts, however some of you fail to understand this your mostly blocked and you are chatting amongst yourselfs it is totally crazy that you don't have a life and yet you dictate to others. And if I need popcorn I seriously would not get it for any thing to do with politics it's a old goofy subject

Now some of you big millionaires on here have failed to buy on the dip today and could of made a few more £millions in stocks and I didn't see anyones tip on that..

Lloyds is positive today and long may it continue

Well hope you all had a great weekend good to see some positive price action with the banks this morning

Looks like a GOOD UPTREND to me so long may it continue and especially for Lloyds shareholders.

I always look at other banks in the banking sector for cluster of information and guidance and all I can say is they are all pointing towards the upside and with Lloyds so far behind on a 5 year and 1 year comparable it gives me confidence in holding and hopefully Lloyds will make up for some lost ground soon. Just take a look at Barclays breaking above it's 5 year highs today.

The UK banks have had a difficult decade and are now beginning to recover thanks to buybacks, higher rates and better margins as well as improving economic conditions.

This general election will only bost the banks as all the political leaders promote and pump the best policy agendas since sliced bread and how they will bost the economy regardless of who wins..

And Lloyds stands to cash in on all the positives good mantra. Going forward we should be back above 57p this week hopefully.

Yeh definitely good to Barclays going through key 220 level banks have had a difficult decade and now it's time for some positive moves to the upside.

Good to see some positive shareprice action who knows we may see the 370p broker recommendation come true 👍

Hopefully next week will be a positive week for Lloyds as other banks have done really well over the last few weeks and months especially Barclays with it's share price above its recent 52 week high and currently sitting at a 5 year break out point so this is a very interesting level.

NatWest Group PLC's (LSE:NWG) £1.24 billion buyback of shares from the Treasury exceeded Peel Hunt analysts’ expectations.

They had initially expected just £1.1 billion in buybacks for the whole of 2023; today’s announcement has forced a rethink of the broker's full-year estimates.

“We view the larger size as a positive, perhaps especially as the parliamentary elections scheduled for 4th July could delay the retail offer,” said analysts.

They now expect £1.4 billion in buybacks for the year. Coupled with a forecasted £1.34 billion in dividends, total capital returns are expected to come to £2.74 billion.

“This estimate now appears conservative and is supported by the 1Q results, which indicate that capital generation within the group remains strong,” said Peel Hunt's number crunchers. “Generally, we view the progressive elimination of the UK Government's holding as positive for the rating of the shares.”

The broker gave NatWest stock a 'buy' recommendation with a 370p price target.

Shares were changing hands for 318p at the time of writing.

Noted many big mega buys always after the market closed a big £50m buy again today. Generally a lot lot more buys than sells hopefully we will soon get our breakout to the upside.. also good to see some banks like Barclays is sitting on a 52 week high. So again hopefully Lloyds will be looking to follow the trend to the upside..

I know this is a Lloyds bb and we only discuss Lloyds on here lol 😆 but I have poit out Barclays Bank is at an interesting level and its had some Interesting price action over the last week with Barclays Bank hitting a 52 week high will it take out the recent 52 week high and the 5 year highs. Time will tell hope other banks like Lloyds and NWG move towards the same targets. And NWG buying back more shares direct from Government is also a strong sign confidence is very strong in the banking sector. And I know the GE is looming so the gov want to offload some is well.. Anyway is all look good for the banking sector

Gov selling another chunk of shares directly to NWG as confidence returns to the economy and the general election draws closer

NatWest said the share buyback will be broadly neutral for tangible net value. It continues to target a CET1 ratio, a measure of financial strength, of 13% to 14%.

"This transaction represents another important milestone for NatWest Group, building on recent momentum in the reduction of HM Treasury's stake in the bank," said NatWest Chief Executive Officer Paul Thwaite.

"We believe it is a positive use of capital for the bank and for our shareholders and represents further progress against the ambition to return NatWest Group to full private ownership."

If you know you know the UK has a massive shortage of houses so trust me Lloyds is in the game and the property market is more solid than it's ever been. If some landlords want to cash in on some properties and take some profit that's up to them. However I know so many that are looking to ADD to the already rich portfolio all positive for the property sector and Lloyds bank.

The figures are a great positive sign and obviously shows confidence is returning to the property sector long may it continue and Lloyds Bank the UK biggest lender will also benefit.

Well I personally was expecting a higher finish today no worries hopefully we may get a good strong boost tomorrow 💪

Aston Martin has announced a new partnership with Lloyds Banking Group to serve as its retail finance provider for UK vehicle sales, according to a press release.
