Like you say, the regulatory effects were known long time.
If things go like today, we will see £7 sooner than £5.
So then 43p divi could come with capital gains in the end.
For me, I tend to hold 3-6 months but might do 1-2 years here
you never know. I been stuck with TCAP long as well but
the divi there is equally good and sp is rising.

Were ok could be better. I got ave price of just over £6 so I might
end up holding for a year. Divi at 43p does give quite a big cushion
so it’s not so bad in the end. Just unfortunate that capital gains might need
to wait till results improve.

This sort of damage is permanent. Only sell this barge pole

I put in a buy order at 499p. Maybe too low, but I can’t see this falling below 480p for sure.<br />But it might bounce here,chances are I’m not gonna get even 499p.

I said in August that it’ll sail past £3 in a few dats, but alas I was wrong. It took 3.5 months!
But we got there in the end. I’ll sell when it gets to £6 in a few years. Again, I think I will be correct although my timeframe may be off again.

Double bottom or maybe around 260-265p it will bounce.
Anything under 250p should bounce very fast, and that is the DB.

Then, holding these borrowed shares they now hold, they sell them at a time of their choosing. However, to return the shares to the big
boys, they must buy them back to return them. Is this correct ?

You know snorters “sell now” and they have to buy back later.
They do not “hold shares” to dump them. They hold borrowed shares they need to buy back later so they hope their later buy price is lower than their sell price originally was. You sound confused? AQR has madelotsvof money here shorting, but many other shorters have lost quite a lot, so it is not as rosy for them as you think.

Pathetic rise. But if this means that the old resistance of 660ish becomes support, I will take it.

This will be interesting.
Any shorter losing money here will get what they deserve.
