As you say, all this off no news, but I think a few have this on their radar now. With Zurich already agreeing to settle, it can't be too long now before we get a second insurance update can it and that will really move the SP north. I'll certainly be scanning the news at 7 tomorrow morning in anticipation both on this and a few others I'm holding. But whether the news comes tomorrow or not, I fully expect the price to continue its gentle rise upwards as more speculators jump on the bandwagon.

Mind you, its a great wind up every night isn't it? Its made me scan my account a few times now of an evening wondering which of my shares has been hit last thing only to find its the MM playing their usual games with RTY!!

I wouldn't mind, but that last trade at 4.34pm was a sell whilst the spread was 10/9 and the trade before that was a buy for 10p? Admittedly, low volumes in the scope of things, but from that it goes 10/7 just 1 minute later?!!! Can't fathom it or the reasoning given that it'll tighten up again first thing.

They've done this every night of late on this share and I don't know what the motive is. It can only be an effort to unsettle shareholders in to selling first thing surely, but it'll tighten first thing tomorrow if it follows past patterns. Don't recall this sharp spread change happening at close every night with any of my other shares in the past and just hope its a sign of how much the MM wants these.

It's only the spread getting wider - the MM just doesn't want to sell any of these just yet and is clearly hording a future profit!

I'd hate to call a figure, but a damn sight more than it is now even with the recent rises! I've got exactly the same issue with BRR and IVS on my portfolio - big spreads and its clear the MM wants to pick up as many as possible there too before the next RNS. I think their NAV is around 50p a share from memory, so I'd be looking for something nearer that than 10p!

Nowhere near enough buys at the moment to signify a definite leak, but if those buys move in to the millions, then you'll definitely know the news is out! I still think the spread is criminal and its so clear that the MM is only interested in picking these up cheap. Suppose you can't blame them, as thats their game, but you can almost tell what shares are due a massive upswing just by watching the trends and MM's reaction to the buys/sells. Can't say if this is kicking off today or not, but its only a matter of time before this lifts off.

10.5/9 now and 3 more buys follow at 9.7p of 1,958 and 25,000 and 100,000 at 10p ... still waiting for the massive purchases but maybe some news is due?!!

I think the MM's got just about all the shares its gonna get now after all their games of late! The Spread is showing as 10 buy/8 sell now and someone has just bought 13,996 shares at 9.7p at 12.03pm! That fella clearly has a pair, but still no significant volumes as yet to signify the upward swing we're all waiting for. The MM continues to try and put people off buying here, but its pleasing that a few still creep through seeing the enormous potential.

Nice number of buys going through later as the day went on and hopefully a good sign of things to come tomorrow. Am hoping the MM's getting ready to let this one out to play ... and another RNS wouldn't go amiss!!

Looks like the MM will have plenty of these to sell come the big day! Still not sure when to dip in for a top up, but as I've said before, I'm happy with my small holding here and this loss today is covered by a morning trade on JJB. Come on Rutley, pull your finger out!

Nice tight 1/4 penny spread and this is holding its value too well in the face of a big sell to buy ratio (4.88M sells to 1.44M buys). Call me an untrusting cynic of the MM, but does this mean the MM is buying shares and that the forthcoming update is going to be good?!!

Cash offer or a swap for shares in the buying company would be most likely I'd expect, but it all depends on the terms of the offer really. With speculation that Rutley may have a number of potential bidders taking up positions (in addition to Black Sea Global), it's fingers crossed we hear something soon, Bidding war would be great news for shareholders and I'd love to see a nice multi-bagger here! I've yet to forgive myself for hesitating on Taylor Wimpey at 4p just a few months ago and didn't want a repeat here, so I'm in until the RNS comes through. Looking at recent trading activity, I still feel sure that there's an RNS due here at some point soon. As everyone knows, Inveresk announced in their last Interim Statement that their intention was to exit the paper industry and harvest their realisable assets (i.e. their brownfield sites, which were valued at anything up to £30M or so), in order to become debt free and generate cash resources for the ultimate benefit of their shareholders. Given that their market capitalisation is 1/10th of this at around £3M, I can't help but think that this is a 'win-win' situation whether these brownfield sites are sold now or in the future when brownfield sites will no doubt be worth even more. I for one am happy to hold and wait and see, but I think we'll hear sooner rather than later somehow. Just hoping my nose isn't letting me down here, but I welcome any other views.

If Friday was anything to go by, this is going to surpass my initial expectation of slow steady growth to 40p+. As this recession begins to turn, so will public confidence and with the demise of MFI which can only increase its market share, I can only see massive potential for GFRM and its future. It remains a solid tip for me IMO and if the forthcoming update is even remotely upbeat, this could fly past 40p this week quite comfortably.

No interest this morning, so back to normal for the time being - suppose we'll all have to wait for an RNS before this kicks off again.

After researching a few, I bought in to this one as I saw it as a good steady investment at just under 25p. Also heartened to see the Naked Trader has tipped it to go to 40p+ too. Good steady progress this week and I feel there are positive signs here for the future.

Yes, DISL was a big disappointment yesterday. My profit since purchase went from about 140% to 20% in no time. Mind you, their Board really shot themselves in the foot with the wording of that RNS and like you, I feel we'll see a good steady rise there as people realise that. As to IVS, its a small part of a widening portfolio for me and is one of my few gambles, albeit low risk IMO. I'm 0.25p down (due to the huge spread), but I've got 2 other shares just like it in RTY (which I hold at 6.5p) and BRR (at 2.25/2.49p). Thankfully, these latter two are in good profit by comparison, but to me, each one is just an RNS away from a huge rise and I see all 3 as very strong holds. I can't spend all day watching the feeds unfortunately, but its only a matter of time I feel.
