100k buy just gone through. As I say, every time a few PI's are tempted to sell their 5,10 and 20k worth, a big 50,100 or 500k buy seems to pick up the slack these last few weeks. Still wondering when we'll get an RNS and what TXR will be valued at (as the insurance would have to be taken in to consideration too).

They've tried dipping the price again to 18.5/18p and triggered a few sells. Can't help but think they're trying to fill another order and that this will spurt again. Its got to be JR going for a takeover surely to get this kind of rise again rather than the less likely early settlement of the insurance? What does everyone else think?

Cheers! I've had a few lately that I've ducked out of too early like Galiform, Brixton, CFM etc. and thought I'd lost it because all the ones I'd held were stagnating! Always knew TXR had potential for takeover and that the insurance money would improve things dramatically at some point, but its been a fair wait! Just glad the patience has finally paid off. TXR is off again today at 19.75 although they've just dropped the bid price from 19.5 to 19 to try and pick a few up no doubt, but few are selling.

Well I don't know about the rest of you, but I've had worse days ... wonder what's developing?!

With the SP dipping now to 13.25/13p, I hope this is a final throw of the dice to free up some shares prior to news, as todays rapid rise has exceeded my expectations given recent volumes?

Takeover talks remains favourite in my view given recent increase in JR's shareholding, but prior knowledge of insurance well ahead of schedule would have the same effect on the SP too! Will be looking out for another bout of late buys after 4pm, but assume we can expect an announcement tonight or at some point soon?

If you trade enough, you really should get a proper level 2 account which lets you see the market/book. Alternatively, if you're like me (tight!!) and don't ordinarily spend too much time other than the odd lunchtime or early morning here and there playing the market, then you can be cheap and sign up free to ADVFN. Put all your favourite shares in to their monitor and you can see the trades as they go through live for limited periods during the day. 150,000 sell at 13.5p just shown up which might have been a buy and they've dropped the spread to 13.75/13p. My guess is that they're trying to fill a large order here or big news is due. Wait and see.

13.75p/13.5p live? When's the anouncement coming, cos this isn't just down to volumes?

Someone is really hitting this hard and new buy prices are being picked up every time it ticks up - now showing 13.25/13p spread after a 100k and 60k+ purchase?!

Wouldn't surprise me if the existing Marketing Director has left. Just look at his picture on the TXR website - it looks like he's ready to throw himself off the nearest dredger, the poor fella!!

Well there's my projected 1/4 to 1/2p tick up this morning. Will be interesting to watch this later today for late trades once again.

Oh i'm a great believer in patience master!! Happy hold for me here that I know will come good, but may have to wait for a while until others wake up to its true value, so as you say, free money is free money.

Really can't understand the price here. As I said earlier, EML's latest results to end March 2009 valued their 8.04% holding in KAH alone which was bought for £7,368,281 at £17,627,774. Yet in their next results to September 2009, this same holding will show up as worth £30 million. As of today less, than 1 month on, that same holding in KAH is now worth £35 million(!!), yet EML has a total market capitalisation at todays prices of just £27 million ... bargain SP, but very odd that this isn't flying ... what's holding it back?!

No, I'm not in here in a big way. Very much an average holding for me that I picked up 6 months or so ago at 6.13p. Wanted to top up when this was in the 4p's of course (as I knew it would go at some point this year), but had most of my money tied up in other holdings. Besides, I didn't want to become even more exposed to mining at the time! TXR is a happy hold for me and all the more pleasing as it was one of the shares I suggested to friends who were entering the share market for the first time. AFC remains my biggest single holding which I bought around the same time as TXR at 3p with a 4.3p top up. Like you, I think we'll see another RNS here soon confirming that JR has picked up another 1%+ chunk (of the company that he used to own outright just a few years ago). The remaining insurance money for me is a certainty before January and as the economy picks up, this should fly up for those who hold their nerve. People forget that this was worth 80p+ less than 2 years ago, so its at a bargain basement price still. As I said earlier, by rights, this should tick up early tomorrow morning by another 1/4 or 1/2 a point, but I'd be happier to see the usual trick of ticking the SP down (against the buys today) as this will be a sure sign to me that they're looking to fill another of JR's orders on the cheap!! IMO, I can see a takeover attempt coming within the next quarter and most likely before the balance of the insurance is sorted.

Very quiet day, small tick up ... and then lots of post 4pm purchases again here, but in smaller numbers than usual, i.e. 50k, 17k, 50k, 50k, 71k, 10k and 71k (all between 4.07 and 4.30pm)?! Wouldn't be surprised to hear that JR or another major shareholder has acquired another 1/2 or 1% of the company soon. Someone is clearly picking off the remaining 10% of PI's holding here one by one, so I expect we'll either get another tick up tomorrow or will the MM drop the price to fill the next big order? One to watch, but I'm holding on for dear life now as this is ultimately only going much higher IMO.

What's going on with these matching late buy and sells of late? 66,000 were sold today at 4.30pm and then bought after trading at 4.38pm and again 120,000 more were sold at 4.14pm on Monday only for the same number to be snapped up and bought a minute later as well? And then today, a fair few trades in TXR up until 1.40pm on the Plus platform (most of which looked to be buys) and then nothing for the rest of the day which kept the price stagnant? LSE only showed sells this afternoon until this late matching 66,00 buy/sell after hours. Are we going to get some late trading notifications tomorrow or am I smelling the whiffs of something brewing here? Some odd stuff going on again as I say, but thats TXR and probably nothing. Where's Agent Scully?!!
