I don’t think they have spent it all Mike. And I don’t think they had run out of cash when they raised it either. My calculations are that they probably have about 300k cash prior to this latest fundraise. The timing has probably got more to do with their fear that the sp will drop below nominal over the coming weeks making a traditional fundraise very difficult.
Reece. WSG have already announced one mega that was going to bring in 150m (Lunghi) then another one that was going to bring in 300m. What has been the total revenue from those 2 ? The problem here is that fewer and fewer people believe their fantasy announcements.
Babbler, anyone who allows their ‘average’ to influence their trading strategy will inevitably lose money. Buy if you think it’s going up, sell if you think it’s going down. The price at which you previously traded is an irrelevant distraction.
Babbler. I think you will find that there are a few savvy traders who have already cottoned on to that one. I’ve been in and out of this a few times now. Buy when it’s sub nominal, sell after the pumping rns. Rinse, repeat. Of course the long term believers like to pour scorn on such behaviour but it makes money....
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-45288659 British Airways and Air France have announced that they will stop flying to Iran next month. Both airlines said that the route was "not commercially viable." The reintroduction of US sanctions has caused a slump in the value of the Iranian currency, the rial, making it harder for Iranians to travel overseas. BA restarted the service to Tehran two years ago after a four-year gap. The last flight will be on 22 September, returning the next day. The airline apologised to travellers planning to travel to Iran and said it was offering refunds for affected customers or a possible rerouting through other airlines. Air France, which had transferred its connections with Tehran to its low-cost airline Joon, had reduced the frequency of the flights from three to one a week since the beginning of this month. It will stop all flights on 18 September. KLM said last month that it would also suspend flights from Amsterdam to Iran from September. The sanctions, prompted partly by Washington's decision in May to abandon the Iran nuclear deal, have prompted many western firms to step back from business in Iran. Companies such as the French energy giant Total, German insurer Allianz and Danish tanker operator Maersk have said they are preparing to wind down their operations in Iran.
Has been the resistance point for 6 months now. Once we are clear of that the sp should really motor.
Jimzi, I think you are right. The obt ords are becoming increasingly irrelevant. The Argento pref shares and the internal trade finance loan show that the focus is much more on off-market finance sources. Current MCap at 20m is too low even putting a hefty discount on the official NAV of GBP100m. I expect any buyout from whatever direction will need to be pitched at about 12p to be successful. Worth holding for that possibility but I expect there will be plenty of PIs happy to be out at 10p.
Keep up spursey. That was last week’s joke.
STAR and MRS are my largest holdings by far. Very confident both will bag from my average this year GLA. Our time is coming.
I think there are a few too many conspiracy theories being put about. The Bachmann sales of shares are really quite simple. The Bachmanns wanted to retire a few years ago and so sold their company to MRS. Part of the settlement was in MRS shares which they are in the process of selling in order to have money instead of shares. There is nothing sinister in that. There is no reason why he might have fallen out with the Board or whatever he has never been in the NRS Board or involved in MRS in any way. He sold them his company and now he is transferring shares into cash. It’s as simple as that. Once he has finished then the SP can rise to where it should be. All in good time and nearly there now. Chill.
Ha. And then we get a seller prepared to take the quoted price.....
Real spread much tighter than quoted. 7.92 - 8.09.
Well that’s me out now. Nice post RNS rise to sell into. I’ll stop tormenting you all for a while now. Best of luck to everyone staying in for the good news. Your patience deserves to be rewarded. I’ve taken a bit of a liking to the MARS board, nearest you get to geopolitics is discussing which town sells the cheapest pint... GLA
