Tantalum is a metal that sits on the verge of being categorised as one of precious metals. It's sometimes known as UNS R05200 and is a highly versatile transition metal. In its pure form it’s a grey-blue shiny, soft material that when polished its colour changes to bright silver. It has high melting and boiling points and excellent corrosion resistance. It also is highly ductile, with high formability and weldability.

It is also one of the most inert metals known on earth. It is resistant to most acids and corrosion and non toxic to the human body. Consequently it is used extensively in the chemical industry for processing equipment, and in the medical industry for joint replacements and medical implants. Although it's place in the market will ebb and flow it will always be in demand to a greater and lesser extent.

It has a fine microstructure which makes it ideal for drawing precision thin wires which require a flawless pure surface, as required in applications such as electronic capacitors.

At Zulu it will been taken as a credit to the Li2O in the production of Petalite and Spodumene initially and then possibly in Carbonate as the mine moves along it's development curve . The grade at Zulu is about 500 parts per million in both the Petalite and Spodumene Pegmatites.

Initially therefore at a 2mt's/annum ROM rate Zulu will produce 400t's of Tantalum (Ta) a year. The current market price of Ta is around $125/t having fallen from about double that in a two year route. That trend is now turning from route to rally however. But for the purpose of this calculation a price $125/t has been used.  

So intially 2mt's/pa x 500ppm Ta gives us 400t's  @ $125/t + $50m revenue.

Latterly 4mt's/pa x 500ppm Ta gives us 800t's  @ $125/t + $100m revenue.

But as I say the indication is market prices are now strengthening.

Learner trader by name ......... did he get caught out. A lot not aware of the podcast and many including myself didn’t expect the content or the change in GR positivity.
He is normally open ended and you can take what he says with a punch of salt. However this podcast was different, he is positive, he is excited, he is even sounding rampy as he is struggling to contain his excitement without letting the “cat out the bag” IMO I believe he knows EPO is signed. RNS will be written NOMAD approved and ready for a intra day RNS Friday.
Problem with this BB a few PIs have been burnt as the sold on big losses and don’t like the fact that their inability to invest and hold has cost them money.
So you either listen to the negativity or you look at the message putting this share on a plate at this level which is Zulu EPO signed, RHA Electrification cost in the hands of the government, cash generative, gold, big players interested again IMO will be announced as soon as EPO lands. Could go on but I’m not here to convince anyone DYOR review the podcast, read the writing on the wall and make your own minds up.......... or follow the money the sentiment and market confidence - GLA

Hmmm Gazette is posted fortnightly on a Friday that would mean this Friday so see what happens Friday. You may not like it but myself and the market does, you seen the jump from 6% down to 8% up so PIs have some confidence wouldn’t you say?
RHA electrification some production happening wouldn’t worry about that and bills getting picked up by Government as per interview.

By far the best interview I have witnessed and listened too in 8 years from GR.
EPO on the way to the printers this is now from the horses mouth interest from big countries and I am hearing one large (very, very large) player who is just waiting for the EPO to be confirmed.
This really should get the PIs sentiment and confidence back up, these levels are going to look extremely cheap - GLA

Not really would rather clear the profit takers out at this level than at 0.3 + let them take their profit we had a good rise and are currently neutral from open maybe fluctuating +- 1% hardly sad more fuel for the fire.
Got a theory that someone has shorted 171m shares forward selling them thinking the market would (like normal) drop on the news instead they have been hoovered up so see what happens. Was it the MM was it someone in the know, imo still to be closed so don’t expect to much of a drop on sells as someone is picking them up at a premium to what they sold them at - GLA

Book looking interesting and we had a few after close trades so expecting a quick tick-up this morning or possible double tick up. Looking like blue sky's guys gla plenty of interest and sentiment and confidence very much returning .....................
