There are punters on here who have invested money based on Fruitster's posts. People looking for dividend income, capital appreciation, but mainly a safe haven. That has been a costly decision. I called him out a long time ago, it was just too slick and I would never be swayed by someone claiming to work for Bank of America. As for Redceo, anyone listening to him deserves to lose their money.

RMG are shifting the parcels now that I perceived they'd be doing soon after coming to market. I read somewhere in terms of profit you need £2 in parcel revenue to replace £1 in letter revenue. Hard company to value, dire marketing and brand development, car crash labor relations, group profits wiped out for this year, but there is a business in there trying to get out. Just need a competent CEO to execute. Posties are going to get some bonkers tips this Xmas. Well deserved.

The danger in taking a glass half empty approach to a pedigree company like BP, is you end up with an empty glass. There is a colossal amount of central bank and govt money primed to put a rocket under markets. In 2 years time oil is more likely to be nearer $100 a barrel than $25. Hats off to anyone buying this sub £2.50, I didn't have the cojones.

The decision about the dividend is a prudent one. If either or both mines are temporarily shut, CAML has the rsources to ride it out. The operations continue to be well run and as they say, depending on the outcome of Covid-19, the dividend decision will be reviewed

BP will finish this quarter with Brent averaging circa $50 a barrel and steady refining margins, with no threat to their next 10.5 cent dividend. The next quarter, early doors I'd wager, Russia and Saudi Arabia will reach a deal. History shows these prices don't come along very often. Time to be brave and smart, not timid and meek.

These Covid-19 closed cases stats are frightening. Up to March 11 with the virus mainly circulating in Asia, the death rate was 6%. Since then the epicentre has moved to Europe and the closed cases death rate as of March 28 has risen to 18%. It gets worse, the increase in the closed cases between March 27-28 was 12,406, and the death rate 3,462. That's a death rate of 28%. Why is the death rate 4 times greater than it was 17 days ago. Has the virus mutated into a deadlier strand. Asia's experience of SARS seems to have prepared their populations for this pandemic. Chinese/S.Korean family members infected are removed, aggressively if necessary, and placed in quarantine. EU families, with the exception of Germany(who are also mass testing), appear to be allowed to remain in situ, passing it on amongst themselves. A lot of the carnage seems to be happening between 30 and 50 degrees latitude. This is starting to resemble Spanish Flu. Sorry for the rant, stay safe.

Arsenal, our strategies aren't that different. I know you have shares that you've held long term and at the moment are out of favour. That's where I'm at with BP, a share I believe will continue to pay a healthy dividend, with another $2 .1 billion paid yesterday. I could be wrong, but in 6 months the Putin/MBS spat will be over, some sort of normality will be in place with the extraordinary amount of money committed by governments and central banks looking for assets to invest in. I'm also looking for short term opportunities. Good luck.
