Perhaps, more importantly for me, (now with 200k @ an average of 2p having sliced) will be how many shares I'm brave/sensible enough to hold at the close of play on NYE 2021. I'd like to think 200k @ 250p, but somehow I think nerves will have got the better of me.

Hoping to still have at least 500k PHE (currently free carry on 600k plus about £25k) plus 50k BCN and 50k SO4 too on 31 Dec 2021. Now, a cool million pounds would be a great way to end 2021. Should be able to party by then!!!

Piltick, yes that follows . Perhaps a poor example on my part.

However, I still wonder if the number of trades has a bearing on SP movement so multiple buy trades would have more of an impact than one larger sell (or vice versa). Taking on your point the large sell would go through one MM whereas the buys would possibly go through all of them?

Whatever the answer, you have to be suspicious about what's happening here.

I've a theory. Is the share price governed by the volume traded or the number of trades or a combination of both. Would 5 trades of 1k shares have more impact than 1 trade of 5k, especially if they were in very quick time and when trading was light? A while back I couldn't sell 30k AFC shares in one hit, but could do so in three trades. Each of these 3 trades went through at different prices.

Hi kn0wles, I would be surprised if a low risk fund would think motif bio as a suitable investment, however they have probably recouped the bulk of their £650k so by default their remaining holding should now be very low risk. Perhaps they had a buyer lined up rather than having to resort to the market, but other posters have highlighted some large trades...

One presumes that the new directors will ultimately have some "skin in the game".

Time will tell and not long to wait.

Re-reading the placing RNS it does say to an individual institutional investor (i.e. one). So presumably this was Lombard Odier, but not necessarily I guess....

So, Lombard Odier now have 109,162,416 shares (16.85% of 647,848,166). These are held on behalf of clients with discretionary accounts.

What we don't know is did Lombard Odier take the full 162.5 million placing shares and have subsequently sold off 53.5 million shares or was the placing with two or more institutions?

Presumably, the 3% reporting rule applies so anyone with 19,435,445 shares or more will have to issue a TR1.

Which begs the question, who owns the rest of the company, surely not all private investors...

Does anyone have any further observations?
