My take on this...
What influence did the nomad have? If they strongly advised that an RNS was necessary what could the BOD do apart from agree with them?
It would have been considerably better to have requested a suspension of share trading pending a refinancing (of whatever nature).
Why has the situation apparently deteriorated so much from when they announced the dividend?
By making the announcement they have made matters considerably worse. IMHO an equity raise is now out of the question - or at least a very last resort.
Heads should have rolled ages ago. Where's the guillotine?
From a fuming LTH...
To answer my own question - probably!!

What a load of nonsense Strictly!
Have topped-up again this morning.
Good luck to all believers!

Hello Lucksin, two of the first five buys this morning were mine. I'm not expecting a rapid rise, but I can see the potential here. Under the radar is fine for now, but not for much longer, hopefully.
Best wishes

To come out from behind the sofa?
Hopefully, we'll do well out of this one!!
Good luck to all LTHs
Last years results were announced on 31 March 2023 and the cash balance was described as "strong". Not too long to wait for more financials.
I do wonder what the cash burn currently is. How much cash will the Company need and will CF want to get his extra shares on the cheap?
So CF has said that he will be buying more shares,, and the new EIP scheme only vests when the SP exceeds 17.945p...
This is going places !!
Interesting that HL displays the $ price for RTW but when you place a deal the price is given in GPD.
I can't stand having non-rounded shareholdings so felt obliged to have a small top-up...
All the very best to new and existing LTHs.

Couldn't help myself. I've made a small top-up so have exceeded my target holding. Bring on the news!!
Can't disagree with you. I've lost faith with PHE and the only reason I'm here is because I've got a "free carry" after taking good profits previously. That said, I have sold 500k this morning. I was planning to buy back in later, but have been tempted elsewhere! Good luck here though.
Disappointing end to the day, but at least I've now almost got my target number of shares (just 400 short of 100k). Will have to wait for a dividend from HVO to get the rest. Best wishes from Chard_Nick
I think that we need to keep an eye on this one over the next few sessions. Activity seems to be picking up. BTW the 39,600 and 7,500 trades are mine and my mums... Good luck to all holders
I wonder what this means to the RTW deal? Their SP had risen appreciably making me more inclined to vote yes, but now I'm not so sure. I wonder what Acacia are thinking about their cash deal?
Why didn't they do a 1 for 1 swap by equalising NAVs and returning the residual cash to Arix shareholders?
So we're getting 143p for each share when our NAV is 180p? That's still a substantial discount.
RTW Biotech appears to be trading on a discount of 28% so for those happy to continue to hold until the market improves the deal doesn't look too bad.
Anyone looking to exit now are likely to be short changed IMHO.
Trade was at 10.167p. Got to be a bargain...
Good luck to all LTHs.
So our newish CEO has found the tin can that the slippery TY had dropped. Now he's trying to figure out if he's kicking it down the road or putting it in the recycling!
Have taken the opportunity to top up today. Back over the 1m mark but still with a free carry so feeling ok with my gamble.
Best wishes Nick
If they haven't got an immediate use for the cash wouldn't it be sensible to return some of this to shareholders?
With cash worth 99p per share and a share price of 114p (mid) even if half of the cash was returned the share price shouldn't drop by an equivalent amount.
Actually a dividend policy of, say 5% of nav p.a., might turn around our fortunes.
Best wishes
Nick
There have been some brilliant posts on here today which outline the potential for AVCT and I would wholeheartedly recommend potential and actual investors to check them out.
Unfortunately, there has been a lot of dross posted also. This share seems to attract traders who are happy to promote their own agenda (whichever way the coin falls).
I am pretty deep down in AVCT but have profits elsewhere that are covering. It shouldn't be the case that a company like this is influenced by the whims of speculators when what it is doing is so vital to the wellbeing of many people. I am showing complete faith in this company going forward post covid and hope that I won't need to rely on its research and product development on a personal level, although it would be extremely comforting to know that it's there if I need it.
Best wishes to all that share the same view.
