The Company announces that Mr Nick Stone, Finance Director of the Company has purchased 10,000 ordinary shares of 2.5p in the Company on 16 April 2009 at a price of 40p per share. Following this transaction, Mr Stone is interested in 197,346 shares, representing approximately 0.34% of the issued share capital of the Company. In addition, George Bright, CEO of the Company has purchased 25,000 ordinary shares of 2.5p in the Company on 17 April 2009 at a price of 41p per share. Taihua confirms that the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines has extended the date to 15 May, 2009 by which Taihua is required to submit additional information in relation to its application.

smartFOCUS Group plc will be announcing its Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 December 2008, on Monday 20 April 2009.
