Thursday, 22nd February 2007 07:38 Zetex FY pretax profit nearly doubles to 1.6 mln stg LONDON (AFX) - Semiconductor company Zetex PLC said full-year pretax profits for the year to end-December nearly doubled to 1.6 mln stg from 810,000 last year. Group revenue rose around 20 pct to 124,134 usd. Full-year dividend was maintained at 2.15 pence per share. It added that inventory over the year had fallen by 29 pct to 5.8 mln stg, equivalent to a reduction in weeks of sales from 23 to 17. 'Following the trading difficulties of 2005, Zetex has returned to growth during the year under review, with a lower cost base and a new management team,' said Liz Airey, Zetex's chief executive. 'Whilst industry conditions are likely to be less robust in the early part of 2007, momentum is expected to build with greater growth being demonstrated in the second half of the year.' alexander.ferguson@thomson.com
