Shares in Image Scan look good, jumping 0.375p to 5.375p after it announced new orders from China and the US. The company received two new orders from China for its Axis-3d baggage screening system, although one order, valued at 630,000 pounds, is subject to acceptance testing of a new design. "Following recent success in selling the Axis-3d system for use at the Beijing Olympics, we have now secured the opportunity for significant sales into China," said chief executive Nicholas Fox. "This will form a platform for further collaboration in China and help establish a market for the Axis-3d system in the Far East," he added. In the US, Johnson Matthey has purchased an additional inspection system from Image Scan to supplement its existing trio of Image Scan systems. These new orders bring the value of the company's order book to 1 million pounds.
