As we are not currently producing or expecting to in Q4, this question is academic. The only data worth considering is future excess demand for lithium, copper and mineral sands which will drive our business plans forward. Lithium production continuously falls short of expectation for supply-side reasons. Copper is the bellweather of world trade and pundits have been forecasting peak copper for years. Mineral sands products like Ti02 have fallen short supply as per Rio Tinto results I posted below. So altogether I think we are well positioned in the demand cycle for these commodities?

A very strong first post! I fully understand and share your frustrations but believe the SAV board have been doing all they can to secure finance, licences and strategic partners. We have a licence for a first class Li resource in Portugal, the feasibility study is in progress, the demand side for electrification of vehicles and power generation requiring Li batteries could hardly be more positive. The EU needs us to succeed and have expressed support. Meanwhile the Chinese are still Li-hungry. Only time is the barrier to deliver on this and the speed with which things have happened is in my mind impressive. I am not desperate for a license in Mozambique to extract mineral sands but no doubt it will come in time. An Oman copper licence would be nice to have and could drop at any time. Remember there have been no objections to date in either jurisdiction, only time delays and neither project appears to be costing much to maintain. We are at a quiet time for news at the moment and with the backdrop of world financial market pessimism , SAV is not immune to share price pressure. I agree with Iceberg that the current dip offers a great entry point for anyone with a long term vision of the Lithium market. I will be topping up again myself as funds become available.

I noticed that and maybe it should be challenged with the author? To quote from Iceberg’s blog “Savannah Resources will undoubtedly have a Length of Mine of over 15 years by the time the go decision is made. With an IRR of 63% and low capex it fits into the higher bracket of potential lithium producers. Indeed it puts it in a far more profitable position than the vast majority of small to medium lithium producers.”

Benchmark’s Lithium ion Battery capacity in pipeline by 2023: 658GWh - remarkably close to other newer estimate out there. 1.1TWh by 2028 - changing month by month 50 Battery Megafactories in pipeline. I assume then that the large trades appearing as buys are in fact sells as I can’t see many sells showing as sells to put pressure on the price?

Someone had a cheeky top-up of 200,000 and the price finished higher.

Taken the opportunity to top-up an odd number of 77563 to reach my 4 million share holding. Can’t believe I’m getting them for under 7p as I was happy to pay under the 9p offer price not so long ago. Still almost 70% in profit in my ISA and none sold on the recent highs contrary to the assumptions of some. May treat myself to an EV when this reaches 30p when we begin shipping ore - maybe trade in my XF diesel for an iPace? Have to whip Tropical Blast at the traffic lights in Chelmsford!

Copper investors (speculators?) seem to have been rushing in to SOLG since BHP took an interest. We need a new cornerstone investor who is eager to mop up those dropped by retail investors. Surprised that the Chinese battery majors haven’t taken a position yet given that we have a mining licence in Portugal? Maybe waiting for the feasibility study?
