How much do you reckon the failed app cost 3 400k euro ? Another 100 150k for the Polish VASP it has 103k Euros in shares, so its not been cheap like Glindala was. 28k ish ?

They chose to apply on one of the hardest places and now its over. In April BOL told applicants dont use Virtual offices dont recruit ceos on filings and bring your business here. GST arent gonna do that ffs wake up and smell the coffee boys, LT is over!

So the real questions for 2026 are:

How many of today’s failed or withdrawn applicants will try again in Lithuania under MiCA, with real substance this time?

How many will quietly move operations to “easier” jurisdictions and hope nobody notices the data trail they leave behind?

How many will simply shut down, archive the mess, and pretend this whole Baltic crypto chapter never happened?

Pick your scenario. Regulators, clients and counterparties will be watching which one you choose.

The RNS of the polish VASP was very misleading, we are expanding into Europe when they already knew MiCA had failed.

IMO they were all told on the 17th December. Reapply or go elsewhere, I think if GS Fintech apply again they get the hard rejection and that needs to be avoided, but can this group actually get the license and why were they not accepted? lots of money needs to be spent and is it worth it in the EU and the amounts of small volume they do.

I think BOL have been super efficient in this whole process tbh. Its the applicants that made it look bad.

And Ian was GST BOD using embellishing tones from a mediation hearing which is usaully very early in a arbitration, I guess we find out if no RNS by the 10th Jan.
