Indeed, there's been a discussion about the coal. That alone, with the DFS in place, is worth more than our market cap (just shows how undervalued we are).
On related note this project matters to GE-CMEC, and GE particularly, because there are lot of possible coal 2 projects out there struggling for funding, struggling to move forward. If they nail this one and build experience, then they are in good position to establish a very niche position - built on growing expertise and experience - to develop these sorts of projects across, particularly, the developing world. But it matters hugely that they land one to start with that's fairly advanced, that has political support, no policy or bureaucratic blockages, so they can move quickly and not only making money out of this project at the earliest possible opportunity but also that they can transfer this experience across to the other possible projects and programmes.
The difficulty with such projects, normally, are the a) significant funds and resources required to mae it happen, and b) country issues i.e. political
So, yes, NCCL need GE-CMEC --- but GE-CMEC also need this project, IMO DYOR
