Who knows why Miton has been selling. Perhaps it's just looking to reduce its position size.
It's important to note though that the price has held up well despite the selling with plenty of buyers happy to take advantage of the liquidity. It will be very interesting to see what happens when the selling ends. A vertical take-off would certainly be appreciated by holders.

0828 GMT - Shares in Fresnillo are among only a handful of FTSE 100 risers in early deals as trade and political uncertainty causes a rush into safe-haven precious metals. The Mexican silver miner's stock rises 0.8% as the price of silver gains 0.4% to $14.62 an ounce, while gold is up 0.6% at $1,318.6. Americas-focused gold and silver miner Hochschild Mining is up 2.8% and Africa's Lonmin gains more than 5%. "Gold is a clear winner amidst growing fears of a prolonged trade war on multiple fronts and a global downturn," says Jasper Lawler at London Capital Group. "As long as trade tensions remain elevated and fears of a Fed rate cut intensify, gold could quickly move towards $1,350 and beyond.
