I expect Tullow to farm down their existing 60% WI in Orinduik to Total, potentially to as low as 25%. Tullow have made it very clear that they will look at opportunities to monetize their portfolio in order to bring their net debt lower. I would expect 2 Cretaceous prospects are drilled on Orinduik in 2020 (Latuk and Kumaka) if a farm down deal is agreed this quarter. I would expect any farm out to Total would happen as early as 1Q20. Total have the data and understand the plays.
While the market negatively reacted to preliminary analysis of the Jethro-1 and Joe-1 Oil discoveries being "Heavy Crude with High Sulphur content". It is worth to note, that Total has gone on to develop and produce Heavy /Medium grade crudes with High Sulphur content in North America (Canada) -
SYNBIT SHB (SURMONT HEAVY BLEND) - 19.0 API and 2.97% Sulphur
FORT HILLS REDUCED CARBON LIFE CYCLE DILBIT - 21.2 API and 3.93% Sulphur

MRD5432 - It would be great if it were to be the same size of find as Liza, while the shape of Carapa on the prospects map is large, I'm not sure of the thickness of the prospective reservoir and whether that is of the same magnitude as Liza. Tullow previously quoted on a presentation release that Carapa supports potentially > 200MM recoverable barrels.
If Carapa is a duster, I believe it would have been announced much earlier. I therefore believe an oil discovery is likely and Repsol are performing /concluding their tests. Tullow have a number of operational issues, however their Guyana exploration portfolio is in my opinion very much attractive that offers longer term value.
With the Carapa-1 well (Kanuku block) being spudded on or before the 24th October 2019 per the ECO RNS quote on 24th October 2019 - "The newly learned results on Orinduik and the results from the Carapa well currently being drilled in shallow water on Repsol's adjacent Kanuku Block, just south of the Orinduik ..." suggests a potential Oil discovery since it is now 50 days from that RNS issuance. It's worth to consider that Jethro-1 took 39 days from Spud date to a Discovery RNS with that well having a similar drill depth to Carapa-1. Separately, with Carapa-1 being inboard to Orinduik's cretaceous prospects highlighted in ECO's CPR … will mean the oil quality of Carapa-1 (if oil is discovered) … will be of great significance. If the oil is Light and Sweet (similar to Liza) then ECO and JV partners could place emphasis on those cretaceous targets to unlock value during a potential 2020 drill campaign. I am curious to see how the next two weeks progress.
ECO corporate presentation today has provided a series of additional upper tertiary targets (Malone, Jack Shallow and Gus). Curious to see what the resource estimate at Malone is, really think this one will be a strong exploration target in 2019 given the low drill cost as well as featuring in Total's presentation.
