I have no clue which way this will go and having spoken to the Company twice since the suspension, once on the day it was suspended, and I am none the wiser on the reason for the suspension. The Company wouldn't tell me if they had initially requested the suspension or were told to suspend. I asked if they knew if the Warrants had been forward sold (I wondered if the SP was pumped to get a better price) and again the answer was no comment. It is possible that there were a lot of irregular trading prior to suspension, it is also possible, although I doubt it, that that someone within the Company was dealing illegally. Any of those reasons could have led to a suspension, but none would have justified the share being suspended for 4+ weeks. So if the bashers are correct, then something else has happened, far more serious than just the normal reasons for a short suspension, good or bad I do not know but apart from a Sale off Assetts or Company Takeover I cannot work out what else it could be. So a binary bet for me but the longer it goes on, the more I think it points towards a sale or takeover.
I also asked (about 4 weeks ago) about the flanks application and the reply was that they had recently been in a posuve meeting regarding this and all was good (or words to that effect). So fingers crossed on that front. It's a few weeks now since I spoke to anyone but on both occasions and in the emails back, the impression I got was that the company were positive and there was nothing to worry about. Keeping evertging crossed anyway.

JPMC also took a similar position in Premier Oil yesterday morning in memory serves me correctly. Worth a look.

Comparing Market Caps of those two Companies is about as Useful as Anne Frank's Drum Kit. You need to take into consideration the debt, production, cash, liabilities and oil hedges in place etc to come anywhere close to benchmarking one against the other. Just saying.

Hey, Dont forget that even at those oil prices, Hurricane are still profitable, Unlike PMO, Tullow etc, they have no debt concerns. Rig rates will come down, exploration budgets and projects will be cut or cancelled elsewhere if the Oil price stays low for the medium term - all of which will benefit Hurricane longer term. So Tin-hat time for a few days/weeks/months but longer term this has still got huge Multibag potential, particularly from this level. Just a pity that it is bl@@dy hard to buy atm.

The conditions make no difference whether it is fractured basement or transitional sandstone, everything above the seabed is the same.
The cost of any "abandonment" from a single well tieback to the FPSO would only be fractionally more expensive than the P&A , so you are talking out your ar$e there.

That statement was lifted by Energy Voice directly from one of CRS RNS's yesterday, which we know full well anyway from Hur RNS's last year. At this point in time Hurricane legally need to P&A LC. Nothing cynical here, it is the way that the OGA (under the watchful eye of BEIS) now operate across the board - purely to reduce the ammount of suspended wells in the North Sea/UKCS. I would suspect that discussions are ongoing with the OGA for the P&A to be delayed until at least the new well/s are drilled on Lincoln maybe longer to allow LC to be tied back next year. Fingers crossed they get that extension.
RB, like him or loath him, and despite his funds recent very poor run, is a shrewd operator, and although I doubt he has any inside track, he certainly wouldn't up his stake considerably if he didn't think that he would get a decent return in the short to medium term. All IMO.

Not worried about Trigger or similar posters, there are a few that obviously use this to replace what is lacking in their "real" life (attention, friends etc) hence the posts multiple times each day and at all hours. - let them post, it probably is all they have.

Yiri, I agree with both your posts, although I think even with retail selling in the event of a Yes vote to save their money being tied up for a couple of months, there will be enough II' more than happy to buy and hold for a couple guaranteed 2% return at no risk. Imo
And yes a No vote may also force AAl to up their offer slightly, either way buying at around the 4.15p level makes a lot of sense to me.

I have just taken a small holding here this morning as I really do not see the offer being voted down. I agree that the offer looks low-ball but many retail investors will not vote against it through fear of administration or fear that potentially the mine may not be built. Looks a decent bet for a 30% rise - back to 5.5p by Friday when/if the vote is pushed through.

More nonsense and pure speculation by the clueless here. For a start, the weather WoS over the last few weeks has been "bumpy" but certainly nowhere bad enough to stop producing- anyone thinking about this weather causing riser damage or causing the AM to lose couple of chains are really letting there imagination run wild.
I am confident that the AM has been producing pretty much constantly for the last few weeks. I am also confident that she needed a tanker as any delay would have meant a slow down due to lack if capacity.
I dont know why the offload was light (if indeed it was) but if this was indeed the case then there could be many reasonable explanations for this, that shouldn't cause concern to investors.

Unfortunately, it does mean that there is no news imminent on any of the licenses in Namibia, or anywhere else for that matter. If there were then the directors would not be able to buy or sell.
